I find it better than the Oly 75-300 (second series), the Oly 40-150 f/4-5.6 R, the Pana 100-300 (first series) and the Pana 50-200 (first series) that I have used thoroughly in the past, and that are the classic zumini castrated in the longest part that is the one for which you buy. The zoom dial is wonderful and does not make you regret mechanical zooms. Not having a Panasonic body I can not take advantage of the double stabilization, but the IBIS of the EM-1 is enough and advances, considering that I use this zumino for animals.
