Pros: Image quality, wide focal range, build quality.

Cons: A bit bulky and heavy, but it allows you to travel with one less lens

Opinion: An all-rounder lens that ranges from a wide angle to a normal focal length. Perfect for traveling, it's addictive. Remarkable optical quality, does not suffer from flare and has almost zero chromatic aberrations. Excellent build quality like almost all M.Zuiko "PROs". For a micro4/3 system it is a bit heavy and bulky, but it allows you to leave at least one lens at home. Price a bit high but justified in my opinion.

Pros: Quality. Constant aperture. Versatility.

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Outstanding lens. Quality. Sharpness. Very little flare. Versatility. A 16 mm - 50 mm equivalent that can be used on multiple occasions. The Pro brand is not to be denied. In a nutshell, the pure essence of the micro 4/3: relative lightness, small size, remarkable quality. A pleasure and above all a must have. Compared to the emblazoned 7-14 mm, versatility is the master here.

Pros: Sharpness even at full aperture, color rendering and shadow areas, robustness.

Cons: Perhaps the weight and bulk when compared to the "dwarfs" to which oly has accustomed us

Opinion: I took it to have an all-rounder suitable for my favorite viewing angle to replace the legendary 12-100. It is lighter and less bulky than the latter but still quite massive but goes perfectly with my em1 mkii. First impressions are really great. The sharpness even at full aperture is exciting, with the same aperture and focal length I find it better than the excellent 17 f1.8 and 12 f2, even at the level of color rendering it seems better to me and especially the detail in the shadow areas is much more readable. I bought it with the cashback of 200 euros offered by Olympus that arrived after about ten days so it cost me new with polyphoto guarantee just over 650 € a great price for the quality offered by this lens. In my opinion at 25 mm it reaches the maximum performance that in any case already at 8 are excellent. The focus is instantaneous and precise and the minimum maf distance very close to the front lens makes it interesting even for close shooting. Good as always the hood that has the unlock button. For me it is an excellent lens for those who range from landscape to Street passing through architecture, discreet for portraiture but is not specialized given the considerable depth of field that the more open aperture of f4 allows.

Pros: Optical quality, construction, tropicalization

Cons: At the moment I have not found any

Opinion: It is the lens that was missing, perfect for landscapes, travel and street. Its focal range (16-50mm equiv.) allows you to do everything without ever changing lenses. The fact that it is f4 is not at all limiting, because this lens combined with Olympus stabilizers can be used freehand even at times of a second if not more, as long as you photograph something immobile. The price is not low but is proportionate to the quality being a "pro" product. Another advantage is that you can mount the filters unlike the other wide angle pro (7-14) which does not allow it.

Pros: Construction / Zoom excursion lock

Cons: Cost

Opinion: UPDATE Taken to the mountains in a couple of excursions and I am satisfied with both the focal excursion, corresponding to a 16-50 FF, and the image quality. I had read several criticisms about the zoom system of excursion not integrated inside the lens, but I do not create problems indeed I really like the detail that the lens is completely blocked when not used thus avoiding the accidental excursion down when walking, recommended in my way of seeing for landscapes during excursions or for street mainly in bright environments, NB memory is a fixed f.4. The image quality is also good at the edges, at 8 mm vignette in RAW while in JPG the machine corrects automatically. ---- Arrived after a long wait, taken with exchange and resumption of another lens given the high cost, disproportionate .... for the moment I found what I expected since weight and dimensions and construction "PRO" correspond to what I expected given the use in mountain outings. End of week I will then try to follow I will update the review.
