Pros: It has it all, construction, robustness, speed, optical performance, it manages to get the most out of the micro 4/3.

Cons: Weight and dimensions.

Opinion: It makes the micro 4/3 comparable to FF, unfortunately also in weight and size, all in all a hypothetical equivalent 35mm F:2.4 on FF would certainly not be bigger and heavier but this is the price to pay, it is physical. That said, which remains the only perplexity, it is an excellent lens with great performance and no weaknesses.

Pros: All

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: Taken to photograph classical music concerts in low-light contexts (electronic music especially) but also to keep the iso low in concert halls (total orchestras) but I use it in all situations of low light (landscapes, streets, portraits, events. Super construction, razor-sharp even at full aperture. It is constantly on the second body also because at the time of analog I only shot with a compact Minox 35 GT f2.8 (back to the past)

Pros: Quality, construction, autofocus, size, brightness, contrast

Cons: Don't get it before

Opinion: I tried various fixes before finding him and in the end that's what triggered the spark and I regret not getting him sooner. Impeccable construction as expected from the Zuiko PRO series with an excellent lens hood (even better than that of the 12-100) and very little play, compact dimensions when compared to the diaphragm and lightning-fast autofocus. In terms of optical quality, you can expect only the top with surgical and contrasted definition, excellent blur and ease of focusing at TA, good resistance to flares and the focal length is the classic 35 mm that never disappoints.

Pros: Optical quality, brightness, AF, tropicalization, function key, hood

Cons: to look for a hair in the egg of little meaning, it is not very compact for the average size of the m4/3 lenses (but it is still an f / 1.2, let's not forget it!)

Opinion: Galeotta was the Olympus offer "E-M1 III + 17mm f/1.2 pro new at 1.600€"! I was considering buying an E-M1 II as an upgrade of my E-M1 I, but, given the figures at which it was (around 6-700 €), I said to myself: "well, even without looking at the price list (where the sum would have been 3000 €), with this offer it would be practically like taking a NEW E-M1 III at 7-800 €, together with a lens that I can sell new for 8-900€". To which I said to myself "come on, let's do it". The problem came when the 17mm f/1.2 pro arrived. Maybe it would have been better to sell it directly without trying it, because once you tried it.... I kept it! Really great lens, perfect size for E-M1 bodies (it is as big as the 12-40mm f/2.8 pro and they also share the same 62mm filters, like the other fixed pro 25mm f/1.2 and 45mm f/1.2), splendid TA rendering, very fast and precise autofocus (on E-M1 III, at least). Really, I can't find a fault with it! Rating 10, I highly recommend the purchase to those looking for a 35mm eq. of professional quality!

Pros: Construction, yield even at full aperture, blurred beautiful, fast focus I can not find a defect even the price is all in all correct when compared with equivalent optics

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I was happy with the 17 1.8 but when I had the opportunity to test the 17 1.2 it remained attached to the car, I was used to the summicron 35 IV series on Leica m240 and I can say that I found a very valid replacement. Recommended without reservation now that you can take it for free together with the em1 mkIII. The blurred is soft pictorial the excellent color rendering I can not find a flaw, now I wait for the 25 1.2 that I ordered.

Pros: Opening, sharpness, chromatic rendering, af, professional optics in every aspect

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: A few words to say that it is an optics in everything and for everything professional starting from the construction but above all from the really superlative yield in terms of brightness, sharpness, af, blurry and color. I use it with a Gh5 from which I hardly take it off. I also use an S1H and if you're wondering if the detachment you get from the background is comparable to a 35 f1.4 on ff probably the answer is no but it comes up and the bokeh is great. All-round lens that excels in photos for ceremonies, portrait set and street (thanks to the almost instant and precise af paired with the gh5). I often use it for videos where I appreciate the paste that gives the image and very clean colors. Last consideration: this lens turned my gh5 into a great machine even in poor light where compared to the ff or aps-c the m43 suffered a bit, at f1.2 the sharpness is great and I often managed to bring home shots at 400/800 iso (thanks also to the stabilizer of the gh5) where I was practically in the dark.

Pros: Robustness, sharpness even at TA, general quality

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I decided to take this lens to have a fixed of great quality that I can use in the genres I prefer (travel reportage, street and some portraits) despite the focal (35mm equivalent) was already covered by the 12-40 Pro in my possession. Despite the limits of use under certain circumstances of a fixed lens compared to a zoom, from the moment of purchase I have not removed from the camera body for all the advantages that I return in terms of sharpness, blurred etc.. Robust lens, coupled with pro bodies (but why not even with more compact bodies) The ergonomics are perfect, very comfortable the ring that with a click allows you to switch from AF to MF. Used in photographic genres that I prefer returns excellent sharpness files even to TA where you get a nice and easily manageable blurry (both in AF and in MF). It allows me to photograph in low light not exceeding the 800-1000 ISO thus obtaining cleaner images (albeit with less PDC using F 1.2). In short, for those who love this focal length and look for a fixed to use in many areas, definitely recommend the purchase. It made me set aside the excellent 12-40 Pro.

Pros: Costulcorruption at very high levels, 1.2 versatile almost a whole do, not too cumbersome.

Cons: Great compared to the younger brother

Opinion: Excellent lens to have absolutely if some photography does a job or if you are very picky amateurs. Lens from reportage that once attached to the camera body can hardly be detached, 1.2 is already exceptional, and in Accoppita with the Em1mk2 returns really good files both as colors and as sharpness, I really like the blur and allows you to Make some beautiful portraits, also wanting close-ups as not much distorts the subject. Very high speed and accuracy of focus, used for video once hooked the subject is unlikely to lose even if you record to 1.2, the focus engine is silent and in the video does not feel minimally. The Straconsiglio.

Pros: Undeniable optical quality-bokeh-Build quality

Cons: Massive

Opinion: I bought the 17 PRO to use it in the "ceremony" work (weddings et similar) where the aperture 1.2 and the optical performance of absolute level offer that security necessary to work in peace. I like it, I really like it, beyond my expectations. Despite the maximum aperture of 1.2 it offers clearly higher performance than the F1 Premium version, 7 both as sharpness at TA and as resistance to glare and flare. Sturdy, sealed. The hood is very large but sturdy light and with blocco\\sblocco. button As for the lens hood... the only flaw is the size. Everything is relative obviously and especially and fortunately, in the m4\\3 you can opt for very small optics wanting. But for those who, like me, use the system as a single or main instrument, the advent of the PRO 1.2 series is really a godsend. They are not indispensable, but they certainly expand the possibilities of the system itself. I definitely recommend it to everyone who doesn't even have a FF.
