Nothing to say about the autofocus which is very fast and accurate even in continuous mode. The MAF on the eye is very reliable and finally Nikon has put itself on par with Canon and Sony. In such a camera, the image broken in the middle for focusing with manual lenses would have been very welcome. In a few days I get the FTZ 2 adapter taken used at a good price. Advanced management of features that I didn't find, for some features, even on the Z8, although the latter is something else. Stabilization and impact at high ISO really remarkable. Only the grip leaves a little to be desired but anyway it's a lot of stuff compared to the competition, which is now gnawing, finally Nikon is back with a series of realizations that enhance the qualities of a winning project. And this is definitely a 10 laude machine!! |

I have long hoped that it would build on its history and this record, but it has missed too many trains and has allowed itself to be cornered by Sony, perfect machines but without warmth, without history, and with embarrassing ergonomics. Finally, after creating the best DSLR ever, the 850, he has also put the arrow in the mirrorless world with Z9 and Z8 first, and now with this ZF, which a true nikonist will not be able to miss. Beautiful, beautiful, more similar to the F3 than to the FM2, it conveys a pleasant feeling of solidity and significantly improves the performance of the Z6ii, a car that is already good even if rather underrated. However, beyond any technical consideration, here there is an emotional factor that wins over everything, especially for photographers who, like me, were also there in the 70s.  | sent on 17 Ottobre 2023 Pros: Aesthetics (with small shortcomings though) | Autofocus | Controls/Menus | QI/GD | Battery Format Cons: Less plasticky keys on the back | Ergonomics not suitable for all hands (try it before you buy it to be sure) Opinion: Picked up yesterday in the late afternoon from my local shop, bought as a gift for my dad (along with the 26mm Z). I've tried one in the shop before (a demo body, as this one is sealed as usual by nital logo) and the sensations are almost all positive. I own z7ii and z8 and in terms of ergonomics this Zf is slightly less comfortable holding it, especially for the ring finger / little finger. The keys on the back I would have preferred them in "old fashioned" and less plasticky but overall it is aesthetically a nice machine! The controls on the top remind me of my grandfather's fm3a, a car that I liked very much. The sensor is very well balanced and always returns sharp images without the risk of motion blur. I deliberately tried to keep it a long time to see the stabilization and it behaves well, even better than my two if you want to hazard a risk. The AF is responsive, much more so than the z7ii and almost as good as the z8 (although the latter is still far ahead). Bought for my father who also prints but stops at 20x30cm, 24mpx are more than excellent. As soon as he gives me direct opinions about high ISO, maybe I'll update the review. Considering performance, cost and sensations I would say a: 9/10 |

Full Frame with max 24 mpx Not to have a duplicate of the Z9. Field-proven it is perfect, autofocus and tracking very similar to the Z9 (current market benchmark). The resulting raw file is perfectly workable and for those who do not need to crop significantly I would say the right balance. Socket with the 40 mm f 2 vintage look . Fully satisfied! |
