The "old" one is more durable I think and - it`s a litte bit "strange" for me to look at a screen that is not in the optical axis of the lens when shooting low level for example. Second thing is, thas the body could be a little more "higher" - my hands are rather big - but SmallRig already has the solution as with the z-6ii The big question I guess is: as a photographer (without video) is it worth to update from z-6ii? Well, if you don`t shoot wildlife&birds all the time, then I would say no. The z-6ii handles everything else in a great way and you can spend your money in lenses :-) If you love to shoot birds and other wildlife and the z-9 is too big/heavy - definitley a yes. There are various options, maybe I didn't find the right combination. In combination with the 28-400 the camera tends to open as wide as possible by reducing the depth of field too much. The P mode was therefore not as practical and usable as with the 80D. In combination with the 28-400 it has confirmed itself as an excellent travel camera that covers all needs.
