sent on 31 Gennaio 2026 Pros: PRO body, ergonomics, image quality, dynamic range, viewfinder. Cons: Maybe the weight... but honestly I always took it everywhere. Opinion: This camera represents my longest association after the experience with the D3200, D7200 and D610. She proved to be extremely versatile, excelling in landscape photography but also performing very well in reportage and events. Although the 36 MP requires conscious management, once mastered, the performance is extraordinary: the image quality is superlative and the colorimetry excellent. Contrary to expectations on such dense sensors, I have never encountered micro-blur problems, always obtaining clean files. The resilience of the sensor in shadow recovery is also surprising, still very current despite the age of the project. A truly sublime machine.
sent on 13 Maggio 2023 Pros: many mpx on a sensor that exploits them properly, robustness, ergonomics, you can crop with peace of mind Cons: vibrations to the shot, heavy but there is Opinion: A great Nikon SLR, you have to take your hand but then when you get used to it ... It churns out beautiful files and you can do anything with it. Honestly, even now I see no alternative to those looking for so much definition and dynamic range for landscape photos, still life and macro. Superior to D700-D3x-D600 I had. Autofocus sometimes inaccurate but I think we are at a normal level since even with other SLRs I have found it. At the time of shooting there are vibrations of the mirror / shutter combination that can cause shake with slow times, but this is noticeable by enlarging to 100% and then you learn to manage, still valid and current. If I have to give a grade it is 9.8.
sent on 08 Novembre 2020 Pros: Great car, great photos, but...... Cons: ..... excessive presence of micromox. Opinion: Excellent machine, takes magnificent photos, when taking measures for the micromosso!!! Too bad for this flaw, otherwise it could have been the ultimate machine, I see very little room to improve files already close to perfection. For landscapers, on an easel, it's perfect, using mirror-up shooting. I replaced it with the D850, now I am 'serene'.

Autofocus sometimes inaccurate but I think we are at a level of normality since I have also encountered it with other SLRs. | sent on 14 Aprile 2018 Pros: Dynamic range, megapixels and solidity Cons: Gust, battery and shutter noise Opinion: A monster despite his age holds head to many FF of new generation with this machine you can really understand the concept of dynamic range and how even the megapixels affect the end result only account that come to mind are the ergonomics and poor battery life that get resolved by sacrificing the weight with a battery grip more downside is there is no shutter noise anyway who can pleasure for the rest of the best |
sent on 18 Agosto 2016 Pros: Quality and cleanliness of the image, extremely wide dynamic range, so detail, good resistance to ISO up to 3200, good customization of buttons and dials, good live view Cons: Not digest mediocre goals, and how many have already said, the poor and shake-burst Opinion: I bought this camera in 2014 coming from the D300S, I decided to make the jump to full-frame for the search of the best design and quality possibile.rnIl change was gradual, beginning not know how to behave in front of a full frame of the genre . Sometimes wrong approach, I did not understand fully its immense potential, and often I was afraid to push myself beyond my personal and creative limits. rnCon the time I got to know her better, I started to take full advantage of every resource and every day I wonder for what it has to offer. rnMacchina perfect for landscapes and portraits, robust, handsome, good layout of the controls, a comfortable grip, holds very well up to ISO 3200 provided you do not overdriven with exposure, otherwise it does not forgive ... rnDevo highlight the feature I most hit of this camera, which is the high exposure latitude of the sensor and the extraordinary recovery of the shadows and alteluci.rnDa a single click RAW exposed to perfection, and I stress eXPOSED tO pERFECTION, tolla sensitivity of ISO 100 even in extreme contrast conditions could be obtained in post production image of an amazing naturalness with tonal passages and contrasts perfect ... the opening of the shadows also does not generate, for my opinion, any electronic noise rilevante.rnQuesta feature led me to reconsider my way of photographing, when before I was forced to use various filters gnd, resorting more often to bracketing and make a manual blending between heaven and earth now I have completely left behind these annoyances ( except in cases where it is prohibitive strictly necessary to resort to a double exposure). The result is a smoother picture and less artificiosa.rnMi also like live view, full of important parameters such as electronic level, compensation in case of subject too dark and my favorite, the histogram Live! RnHo noticed in some situations, especially when using a tripod with heavy lenses, which are found during shooting of small oscillations that affect the result. Fortunately there is a remedy that has saved me several photos that otherwise would have had to throw away, or the shutter delay, adjustable from 1 to 3 seconds after the lifting specchio.rnL'ultima foresight is that being a body much performance, needs to slow up to give the best of themselves
sent on 10 Aprile 2016 Pros: Huge resolution, gorgeous files, dynamic range and exceptional sensor sprawl, ergonomics and body from real pro. Cons: Really miserable gust, battery life Opinion: I changed Canon for Nikon after using this "monster" of a friend for a week. I was filgorated by the quality of the baked file, the wonderful ergonomics of a pro body and the workability of the files in ANY light condition. Resilient machine, a tank that gives the satisfaction of shooting as you want. Fast in menus, customizable at will, to lti iso if it is very well (within the limits of workable) but if we really have to be fussy we have to consider the maximum level of iso: 6400. The micromove there may be but I really expected a lot more. instead, as always happens around social media, we always tend to overestimate (for better or worse) the quality and/or defects of our equipment. ImLast thing..... I had a 7D, a 6D, an 85 1.8 and a 70 200f4. But it took me a week to say goodbye to Mom Canon..... fairies vobis.

sent on 19 Novembre 2015 Pros: Pro body, dynamic range, possibility of crop extreme, good resistance to high iso Cons: Poor battery life, many megapixels are sometimes difficult to handle, burst miserable Opinion: Coming from a D810 I was afraid of losing in quality, I have to say instead of the nef generated by the two machines, with the same lens attached, it seems to me identico.rnrnLa burst is miserable, really miserable, but everything else is the machine that best suits my way of taking pictures, now you can take home with little money, the council.
sent on 14 Novembre 2015 Pros: dynamic range, recovered files with dark shadows and highlights that I did not think, excellent ergonomics Cons: camera shake, moire Opinion: My first fx, ever since I had it in my hands the first time I fell in love and I immediately felt my, produces large files but worth them all, a fantastic dynamic range photo I recovered I thought I threw Street. The only flaw in my opinion that is often heard is that the shutter produces a lot of vibration .. For the rest I still find it amazing!
sent on 13 Novembre 2015 Pros: Exceptional sensor, construction and pro-level materials, reliability, more than decent buffers, truly definitive meter Cons: You need optics of the same level, otherwise it is better not to buy it Opinion: Reading the opinion of Pkkleopard, who preceded me really with open mouth, maybe his 800E was born bad, it happens in the best families. Every now and then somebody complains of the fever, sometimes of the famous microregion, but I have never heard of sporadic blocks or anything else, that's why I'm basically back. The yield is absolutely good at up to 3200 ISO and is different from that of the smooth 800, the absence of the anti-aliasing filter makes the difference. My 800E is absolutely perfect in everything (sgrat sgrat ...), the only thought of a downgrade with the return of the good 700 makes the chills come, it seems to go back to prehistory. I also have the 810 and, despite the obvious improvements, I can say that the burned files are absolutely indistinguishable. In short, today, according to me, an 800E used (little) at 1500-1700 euros is a bestbuy to be absolutely preferred to the 610 or 750 walking cars, it is really another walk .... rnATTENZIONE: the writer is not a influencer in a guru, and not even uno downloading other images from the network to impersonate improbable comparisons. For almost forty years, a passionate nikonist of photography and photographic material has been, and my opinion is not a gospel, but only the result of empirical experience. The objects I write really buy them, I play a few months and if I do not like them, but always and in any case of material at the moment in my possession. I do not make the copy paste of reviews taken here and there on the net, if I'm talking about an item it's just and because I had in the house the time it took (at least months) to try to figure it out. I often go against current, but this does not take my sleep, as far as possible I try to help young aspiring photographers who give a weight to their savings. But, I repeat, I do not bring the verb ...
sent on 11 Agosto 2015 Pros: Sensor, Dynamic Range, Viewfinder, Construction, Buffer Cons: AF dancer, vibration shutter and camera shake, Ergonomics, Noise Shutter, Noise over 800 ISO, Screen Tending to Green, Slow General, occasional blocks, Live View cumbersome, Burst 4 FPS Opinion: No doubt a monster of sharpness, with recoveries crazy of raw files; but there are different but: first of all the problem of camera shake and there you see, which I think is due to the 36 MP but rather to the fact that the shutter is born evil and transmits the incredible vibrations to the whole body car; second is true that it has a dynamic range of crazy, but only up to 800 ISO, over suffering and a lot of respect for example the sensor D610 or D750 and that of the DF; the same goes for noise especially color, which over ISO 1600 is really annoying. The AF also according to me is one of the worst as regards precision and repeatability in the house NIkon: essentially engages better than that of D610 and Df in low light conditions but is not precise, even with the fine adjustment of ' AF. If we want to put even that sometimes it hangs out of nowhere and you have to remove and replace the battery certainly can not be said to be in the presence of a great project, indeed. This is amachine that can be good for landscapers (strictly ONLY on the stand in M-UP) and for photography in studio (always on stand ...). I have sold dejected by too many defects that led below, for which I was most photographed in peace, and it's really a shame because the sensor is truly spectacular. Then, fortunately, NIkon presented the D810 which in essence is nothing more than a D800E without all the problems described above, the fastest in the general operations, with a burst and an improved feeling really good as far as ergonomics definitely improved; In short, what it should have been the D800E but that was not ... The way I see it the D800E is a camera incomplete that does not deserve to be bought now that there is a device on the market more than perfect.
sent on 27 Febbraio 2015 Pros: QUALITY 'in the first place, both the body of the sensor, dynamic range, color viewfinder circular, live views accurately, many buttons, made up to ISO 3200, above worsens (lavorabilissimi file anyway), buffer Cons: is not a real against but I wish the screen swivel ... nothing that Opinion: I come from d80 and D5200, I find it just perfect! it was love at first click, not ask for better! rnabbinata with excellent lens has a incredible sharpness, up to 3200 ISO is excellent, above a little 'worse but if the photos are well exposed utilizzabilissime without problems) rnraffica is written 4 fps, but mine seems that they get to 5 (stopwatch in hand) and this thing I do not back, but better cosirnbuffer ottimo.rnrnconsigliatissima I would not have wanted anything
sent on 14 Dicembre 2014 Pros: Speed, buffer, extreme sharpness, quality construction. Cons: I would have much preferred two slots for cf !! Opinion: Fantastic car, impeccable construction, fast and accurate autofocus! Battery life for about 1000 shots, so not bad. Handle great, not recommend the battery grip because it becomes a bit cumbersome. Better to have behind a spare battery. Incredible dynamic range. You can use it without any loss of quality up to ISO 6400 !! Yield fantastic with old AI-S lenses.
| sent on 04 Settembre 2013 Pros: Image quality, dynamic range, sharpness, ergonomics, 100% viewfinder, LiveView, resolution, excellent compatibility with optical dated. Cons: 4fps, betteria different from D700, already 1600iso noise, no shake-VR lens (shutter speed should be almost doubled), ISO control in awkward position. Opinion: I come from the D700 (which I have sold and continues to be a body that I use with satisfaction). The image quality of this machine is very high. In the press enjoying all the quality of this sensor. Print out please! I have to say that the noise is felt already in 1600iso. I would recommend this machine only to those who shoot in RAW and postproduce. I was afraid of moiré but for now I have not seen even the obra, even the D700 that has the antialiasing filter I have in some cases given moire problems. | sent on 10 Agosto 2013 Pros: More ergonomic and lightweight d700 (it's better in the hand), viewfinder with 100% coverage, dynamic range, video-controlled motorized iris, sharpness, exposure among the best ever. Cons: 4 fps burst, manopolola f / m cheap looking and looks more fragile than in the past, new batteries, cf + sd cf instead of two, Quite recently managed mode. Demand for more computing power to be able to manage files quickly and requires very high resolution computer monitor. Opinion: I'm testanto this new incarnation of the award-winning d700 f100 that retirement after years of honorable success, despite the numbers say the opposite the D800E fits perfectly in my hands, much more than the previous year, thanks largely to a work up by the designer ( giugiaro) and finally meeting a feeling that I had lost years ago by buying the d700. It 'lighter and Mirno 100% can not make me happy as well as cropping 5:4 and the adoption of the dual card (finally), although I would have preferred a double CF. The performance dell'autofucs are good, compared to the d700 engages with greater speed on the subject even in low light but you have to make it a habit to the new operating logic and the layout of the buttons autofocus-manual focus, which has a lever selection looks very cheap and seems more delicate than the previous year, plus appeared a button that allows you to cambaire af af-s d-c and select the points used dall'autofocus (1-9-21-51) through the two rings and a Once you've made the'Habit you fail to appreciate. Resolution to top it shares with the d800 smooth but sharper, thanks to the elimination of the anti-aliasing filter. The batteries are newly developed and improved, but forces you to rebuild the entire park accumulators, also the adoption of the new sd, mature technology now, but that requires the use of performance models on the market and while it is nice to be able to download the photos directly on the laptop (for those with integrated reader sd) compel the other to have two standards, although it must be said that with 36 MPX old cards 4 and 8 GB are quite small and must necessarily be acquired more capacious and expensive. To conclude I really appreciate the operator of the diaphragm that allows you to edit both live view during video recording, a boon to understand where it falls the depth of field and for those who use manual lenses, even if we are not at the levels of the focus peaking. The mode I find it quite short and simply could not do what one would expect. In a complex machinena unprecedented and still undefeated. |
sent on 06 Gennaio 2013 Pros: I certainly agree with Valerio74 of all, I got to try it when it was released, so in the end I bought it and it was a confirmation for a positiva. A Extended dynamic range, good performance at high ISO, excellent resolution, exposure accurate and manageable, AF still higher than the D700, improved controls above the left switch, window (shooting mode) at the base and not superiore. Video: a true HD! Cons: Cons: could not leave the batteries in the D700! The shooting speed is definitely supported with the "battery pack" and becomes enough Opinion: Maximum resolution, the 36 Mpx you see all! is enhanced with the optical low-pass filter missing last generazione.
sent on 28 Aprile 2012 Pros: Extended dynamic range, good performance at high ISO, excellent resolution, accurate and manageable exposure, AF still higher than the D700, high-quality video Cons: Thickest of the D700, not record-breaking burst and no longer uses the classic battery of the previous D700, D300, D200, etc ... Opinion: The high resolution allows you to make the most of any point of view, from the economic to the most sophisticated. The speed and accuracy of autofocus is improved compared to the D700, especially for moving subjects. Have changed a bit 'commands but only seem more rational. The 36 Mpixel stand out even in high ISO, which are able to maintain a surprising detail, without the usual pulping you see in the photos taken with the camera of the previous generation. The lack of anti aliasing filter for now has not given contraindications. Pictures of nature, portraits, macro and some landscape have not yet shown the appearance of moiré as I thought that will be even less present than on the old D700. E 'changed the shutter sound, thanks to probably the third motor in the camera, it is very quiet, but the noise is dry and fast, and is easily manageable with the Q mode Excellent management of flash, even wirelessly. Does not shine for the barrage but 4 frames / sec consider it an acceptable minimum. I do not have the time to highlight gaps in the case I will take to change the review
