Pros: Compactness and lightness, viewfinder, light files, excellent colors, cost-effectiveness (currently)

Cons: Display, slow operation, use only with lenses with internal motor, noise over 800 iso.

Opinion: I write - impressions - because I did not want, on purpose, to do a real test as photography is moving towards super sensors that lately are also making use of AI and therefore no comparison will ever be possible: it is just a "nostalgic" operation. I bought this camera again on the Bay as I felt the "lack" of a CCD sensor. Having already had a D50 and a D80 of which I had appreciated the chromaticism, in order not to miss anything and do a test of yesteryear, I used it together with the 18-55 AF-S II zoom which is from the same period. Camera body (only 5ooo shots), lens like new, original battery, Lowepro bag and Nikon ML-L3 remote control "cost" me 100 euros in total. So it is with a light heart that I speak of this whole, aware of the many limits it has. I state that, except in very rare cases, I do not take action or night photos that would immediately undermine both the autofocus and the iso hold. The first positive notes come from a well-built compact body and an unexpectedly bright pentamirror viewfinder. The ergonomics for those like me who have medium-small hands are good. The autofocus, which can count on only three focus points, is discreet but precise. The rule of focusing on a precise point always applies, lock AF and then recompose before shooting. Slow of course, but you don't throw shots to the wind. I tried both Jpeg and Raw developed with the proprietary Nikon Capture N-XD program: no saturation or contrast was increased. The color rendering is "crunchy" with colors that turn to warm tones that seem colorful and saturated as in postcards. The skies are of a magnificent blue quite natural. I see the ideal use of this camera in landscapes with ancient constructions such as fortresses, walls, monuments etc... to which he would give a vintage note. For the same reason I do not recommend it for portraits where the faithful rendering of the complexion is a determining factor. The rendering of the b/w instead is beautiful with open shadows reminiscent of analogue, a good detail associated with a good micro-contrast. This is remarkable for a sensor of only 10 Mpx. I set 200 iso for a compromise between definition and noise: up to 800 iso, exposing well, the photos are still good, beyond that I don't recommend it. For crops. I tried up to a 25% and I must say that the image basically holds. Among the cons, in addition to those already mentioned, small display, burst, non-compatibility with Nikon AF-D and reading times that would however be contextualized in reference to the year of release of the camera and that is 2008. In short, do you want a cheap toy that, if you are not too demanding but patient, can still give you some satisfaction and maybe make you go back in time? I just told you about it.

Pros: Excellent ccd file quality, handling and un cumbersome for travel.

Cons: Slow and insensitial af with few focus points, fairly limited shooting times for faster times, few controls and rings available, non-tropicalized body.

Opinion: Well it was my first reflex ever since 2008 when the first model came out, and again I happen to review from my archive old photographs with a very good quality made with this machine body. Of course it is not a D90 with which I really learned to use a reflex, but it defends well. With the 18-55mm kit it obviously remains an entry level but if you pair it with the 18-105 mm the level of your shots rises and the D60 can rival even the most modern mirrorless. In fact, in 2016 (almost eight years after the purchase) I happened to use it for a travel reportage in Greece with which I then made a photographic exhibition, printing the photos in a 40x60 format. Absolutely fantastic the yield on photographic paper, beautiful and bright colors. Here today we have cameras with incredible power, sensors with over 40mpx and Iso over 26000, the d60 was just 10mpx yet, when I see my photos made with the D60 I still really like them and I feel like printing them above all. If it were not for the fact that I also have a d90, Two D300 to take reportage photos in extreme and stage conditions and to finish a legendary D700 with which I realize the most important services and especially portraits , I would use it a little more. My opinion is that apart from its simplicity, it is a great camera with which to start shooting in broad daylight, the simplicity of controls is certainly a plus for a beginner, on the contrary it is absolutely not made for those who love the body and weight of a reflex pro, and the shooting speed that is essential for certain situations like the sports photo here is completely missing. Excellent for travel, small and little visible, with the rendering of the files a good tool to always keep close and being the first REFLEX I would never sell it.

Pros: price and image quality

Cons: can only be used during the day

Opinion: By day, when it can be used at 100,200 and (maybe even) 400 iso, in my opinion it is the best camera around in value for money. I made a comparison between d60 and z50 both with kit optics and asked my friends which of the two was the 800 machine and which 80 euros. Guess what? no one noticed any particular differences and most stated that the photos of the d60 were those of the most expensive machine. the ccd sensor gives emotions. combined with the 18-55 takes away many satisfactions to those who approach the world of photography and those who want to take a "vintage" ride. bought in 2016 to start, resold too quickly. bought back in 2020, I will never resell it again.

Pros: READ HOW A BRIDGE CAMERA But functions as a refelx

Cons: Some features accessible only from the menu. Only no.3 focus points.

Opinion: Excellent reflex small almost like a compact, excellent resolution, excellent definition of files both as sharpness and quality. Machine body more robust than those subsequent 3xxx series. It has only No.3 focus points. For landscape photos and portraiture is fine. I carry it around when I go mountain-bike. Great CCD

Pros: entry level property

Cons: built-in AF engine

Opinion: I used this camera as a model to learn photography. It has given me so many satisfactions... that it's been a while!!!! It was a suitable photochfor those who want to photograph, coming from the world of compact photography!!! This camera also spreads from the stand and with telephoto lens. I started using the photo filters from this machine onward... Too bad it's not in production anymore!!!!

Pros: Lightweight, low ISO CCD files, few commands but simple.

Cons: Lack of AF engine, ISO maximum 800.

Opinion: It was my first Reflex in 2009 and together with a makeup artist friend I was accompanying, I photographed over 300 brides, performing artists, models with 18-55 VR and 55-200 VR. Excellent yield up to 400 ISO and usable up to 800 ISO. I always bought it back from my sales friend in 2012 a bit for nostalgia and above all for the surrender of the CCD. To date it has 42250 and is a love. It will be my third body along with the D3s and D700. Combining good lenses will have great results and will pass to my children if they want to start photographing.

Pros: compact, very light,

Cons: lack upper display. Poor resistance to noise for high ISO.

Opinion: From an entry level no one can expect an excellent quality, yet it does its job very well. Small and handy, find the space in your bag everyday. With heavy optical bilanciatissima but it is not to be put into account. As well as fatigue in low light. The battery lasts an eternity. like all machines in its class lacks the sub dial and sometimes this lack weighs. Ultimately, good car for those who want to enter the DSLR world without spending absurd figures, thanks to the excellent quality / price ratio.

Pros: Weight "almost" compact, reliability, quality and price (I paid $ 81 in San Francisco in 2012), reliability, saturated colors

Cons: He has his years, details not very exciting, already at 400 iso limps night as a high-end smartphones of today, very few focus points

Opinion: View a showcase of San Francisco, I fell in love right away by its compactness and its weight (since I turned to S.Francisco with a Milnolta Konica Maxxum 5D (which still possess) that only the body weighed 799 grams. .. outlet with the 18-55 adored now also for color and for its solidity. Used unpretentious, it performs very well, even better than many other of today's cameras; lowered in the evening it is best to leave it in the drawer, because it suffers lot high iso, already 400 there is a lot of noise, 800 iso files are unusable. Since its reliability, however, has (despite being helpless tropicalization) uncompromising and comparisons. though I have brought in the rivers, in caves, sea, motorcycle, boat, and never a problem, never a dirt on the sensor wire, never a hitch. Unfortunately, it is very slow to process the files, in fact, if you take pictures at night with long exposure and iso "tall "(200-400), and the processing time equal to the duration of a marriage rite with ceremonyfestivities. He also has his years but is perfect as a training ship, I still use as a reserve toy, or use my girlfriend when we go out to take pictures and I must say that the RAW are astounding for colors and color range. Is guilty of little details marked with 18-55, but if you use a lens of high range as the 28 f1.8 or f4.0 17-70 or even the 70-200 f2.8 then everything changes, becomes a jewel. The advice to all for his ridiculous the used price. I realized it about 30,000 times and the owner before me about 10,000.

Pros: very light and comfortable, optimum quality / price

Cons: 3 points focus, sometimes problems in 'AF, He suffers ISO, Serial exposures, loss of quality in non-optimal lighting situations

Opinion: It 'was my first Reflex 2-3 years ago and it is at present, but in the coming months will pass in D7200.rnEssendo a car almost 10 years, and given the current price I think it will be great for those who want to start with a good machine spending very little to see if the picture can become a passione.rnLa I find easy to handle, lightweight and comfortable, especially in important aspects viaggi.rnCon above ISO 400 you see a lot of noise, but under certain lighting conditions (especially at night) the noise is also ISO bassi.rnRipeto that quality / price is excellent!

Pros: Light, handy, easy to use, precise and extremely reliable.

Cons: It lacks internal motor for focusing. Much noise at high ISO, resolution and few limited functions, but are normal for an "entry level", for more of his time.

Opinion: The own for about six years and I was surprised to reliability. I used it a lot and often in "extreme" conditions, as in the cave with plenty of mud, water and humidity, or in the mountains with snow, but I have never betrayed, although a camera is not tropical conditions. Despite my frequent changes of perspective, even in dusty environments, the sensor cleaning system has so far proved effective. It does not require optical refined and, despite the major limitations of a camera-level, has produced (and still does) fine file, well exposed and with saturated colors and true, especially if triggered in good lighting conditions. Although now I switched to a much higher level of quality with the D7100, I consider it a camera that can still give great satisfaction for its ease of use. Excellent for imparare.rn

Pros: Lightweight body, compact rnMacchina simple and easy to use, does not betray even if limited. very good at low ISO (400/800) supports that Ben must begin. Sensor cleaning excellent.

Cons: Limited if you ask an effort to Iso elevati.rnProdotta briefly

Opinion: Personally it's my "school ship", I find it versatile and not betray you ever. The exploit every opportunity is robust and simple leggera.rnUn AF, a bit 'slow but fully justified by the value of macchina.rnE' with me since 2009 and now I'm down to tile with a new Nikon (7200) not to abandon the safe .rnIn any case it allows optimal results despite was a entry-level .The buy back.

Pros: Lightweight compact. CCD sensor. Good image quality and color rendering. It exposes perfectly. AF only 3 points but precise. Excellent yield lower ISO.

Cons: 1 ring. ISO yield good up to no more than 400/800.

Opinion: First SLR. Easy to use and understand. Digest well every optics. He exposes perfectly allows despite its 10Mpx good print resolutions. I usta for 4 years where I pulled my neck and I was always satisfied. Now I rediscovered after selling D7000 and I'm still satisfied. He was always fascinated with the yield of the CCD, for color and tonal range. His humble af missed very few times. The advice to those who have big claims and must learn.

Pros: The synthesis of the SLR world, essential, practical, good to learn how to photograph.

Cons: All the limitations that may belong to a low-end SLR ...

Opinion: My first reflex.rnE 'excellent as a gateway to SLR photography, it is easy to use, and despite being a' machine 'asserts itself! The CCD sensor is then almost a rarity, with bright colors and shining forms. The black and white picture then reminiscent of Leica (with some differences, of course) .rnCome all DX low-end, suffers a bit 'in the absence of light, but the files, although noisy, are still fascinating, pasty and saturated . Under optimal conditions of light, however, it is a time bomb, with the 18-55 goes like a dream, almost unique in some ways, even by DX higher end. The D3000 is a worthy heir, although a bit 'more modern, and perhaps more digitalosa.rn

Pros: Very versatile, easy and fun to use, whether you are a beginner it is a bomb. A guarantee (as indeed it must be a Nikon). To all you need if you want to take good pictures. Combined with the objective 55/200 you can do close-ups beautiful. The possibility of being able to do everything in auto mode for more "lazy" is a salvation!

Cons: You can not ask for more in a camera of Base (entry level). Otherwise it means that you have not bought the right for you! Not for nothing on the book of instructions wrote in 2008: Nikon D60 One step from Picture Perfect !!! How can you not buy it?

Opinion: Now I am five years of satisfaction for me, with this camera, and if you were to go back behind the buy back! Of course now I'm getting a little tight, but it's just so. So many times we "want" more just for the sake of having, but today with the D60 can do much good pictures by spending the least. With the models (in its class) on the day of today, suffers a little advancements in performance, but it's still a great quality camera.

Pros: Small, light, line quality files with Big Sisters of the time, great autonomy, combined with a compact, quality becomes even more fixed CCD sensor, sensor cleaning system effective

Cons: Active d-lighting brings the noise even at low iso, digital noise reduction not that good

Opinion: Great reflex, not the heartwarming! I owned it for three years, and thanks to its compact size I took her everywhere and in all weather conditions (of course with caution since it is not tropical) and I did many of my best shots. In combination with the high-quality becomes a fixed compattona and at low iso can still speak his mind. The sensor cleaning system does its job great, never needed cleaning! Big autonomy of the battery. I was very satisfied. But I changed only to switch to Fuji S5. I could go back the buy with your eyes closed!

Pros: price, light weight, ease of use suitable for non-experts

Cons: internal engine failure, lack quick settings

Opinion: excellent entry level without great pretensions, but be able to churn out good file, the lack of quick settings makes it a little slow adjustment having to necessarily go through the menu and the lack of internal af motor allows you to use the most of all the optics having to focus when focus hand with those without an engine proprio.nel Overall I had this machine for about two years and I recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the world without spending exorbitant amounts reflex or as a second body

Pros: light and with many programs

Cons: lacks internal motor

Opinion: excellent performance for money is very beautiful photos using good goals and stabilized with a tripod has no problems of any kind with economic objectives and unregulated also recommended for those who love to take pictures with a second machine without regretting something more expensive I personally have made some macro and landscapes that I have met
