Pros: Light. Sturdy. Very good image quality. Great LCD screen. Very easy to use. Outstanding macro quality.

Cons: A bit slow. Only 28mm at wide angle. Poor control/button response.

Opinion: This camera is an upgrade to our earlier Canon G3. It is not quite as good as Canon G3 mechanically and the buttons on the back of the camera tend to not record our menu choices when pressed. Image quality is outstanding from such a small sensor. Only in contrasty lights you can see any artefacts, or 'halos'. It is super easy to use, very small and light and very well built. Images from the camera match images from much newer Fuji X-T1 that we also use now (we are testing cameras now, before making a decision for our future needs). I actually think the jpegs are better that those from the Fuji. I hope Nikon will make a new version of this camera soon, just this time I want 24 mm at the wide end and better quality buttons.

Pros: Portability, silence, dedicated rings and buttons, raw files, both build and file quality, viewfinder, external flash shoe, filter thread.

Cons: None, for the type of camera. Only a certain operational slowness.

Opinion: Purchased three years ago to be used on the beach and for discreet street, it turned out to be a much more advanced compact in its category, almost a cross between compact and mirrorless. I shoot always and only in raw and up to 800 iso the quality of the files is very good, discreetly recoverable up to 1600 iso with the right tools in postproduction. Being able to mount the front filters is a real treat, as well as the shoe for an external flash that works perfectly in ttl. The double ring, the dial to correct the exposure and two partially programmable fn buttons, allow a very fast use even in completely manual mode, without having to go through the menus. The battery, the same used in the D3xxx and D5xxx series, guarantees a great autonomy, especially using the new EN-EL14a versions. The fully flip-up display is an added advantage in some situations with awkward shooting points. The lens also deserves a note of merit, a 28-200mm equivalent. f/2-4 that performs very well and that allows you to take home a wide variety of shots with a decent quality. Not bad also the ND filter function that allows you to extend the shutter speed by three stops. In light and disengaged outings she is always in my purse, discreet and always ready to capture a decisive moment.

Pros: Portability, management of all parameters, noiselessness, eyepiece

Cons: Battery (but solved, using those of the Nikon D5200), ISO unfortunately does not even keep them to die, slow shooting if you use RAW and JPEG and viewfinder not faithful in colors

Opinion: The more time passes the more I like it, light silent, good zoom, time / aperture management and flash. Eyepiece not faithful in colors but I learned to rip me off, in the photos the problem does not arise, and so I focus more on the shots. A real ghost the car disappears. The lens has recovered a lot in brightness. The Nikon had imbroccato everything and with some improvements would have paved even FUJI ... but instead No, we propose questionable compacts and make us a P7900 that does at least 1600iso

Pros: Excellent lens, very good files, settings, versatility, construction, battery life

Cons: Viewfinder a little ' small, slowness of writing, menu ' so '

Opinion: It was my first camera, still in the exits read I always carry it with me. Great compact from reportage and travel. Excellent quality of the lens and very good files up to 600iso, has nothing to envy to mid-level SLRs. Great job Nikon, I hope in an upgrade of this fantastic compact in the upcoming releases.

Pros: lens quality, body building, battery life, overall reliability, manual control

Cons: Viewfinder, operational slowness

Opinion: Using this extraordinary compact for about a year and now I feel to express a general opinion. The picture quality is mind blowing to me (low sensitivity), sharpness and contrast that I did not expect from a apperecchio of this type; Obviously when you exceed the 800 ISO quality degrades exponentially but is absolutely normal when you have to do with small sensors. The lens, I said, is of excellent quality and also very bright (f / 2.0 at wide-angle, 28mm equiv.). This Coolpix has all it takes to amateur in most situations. I now love it, and are even willing to overlook some flaws such as poor quality of the electronic viewfinder and operational slowness general. If Nikon P7900 did in a future I'd be the first to buy it I saw that the p7800 is a bomb.

Pros: CompattezzarnVersatilitàrnAmpia range of settings, like an SLR mid-level

Cons: Operations generally a bit 'lenternSettaggio settings do not always intuitivornDisplay viewfinder low qualitàrn

Opinion: How many buyers of this nice (but powerful) compact, my choice has been addressed mainly in owning a device that could first be portable, to occupy as little space as possible and that, despite all this, he had the opportunity to have settings , optical quality and broad range "creative" unenviable by a reflex of medium / low level. All these elements are met discreetly is an excellent compact take with them 'just in case, does its job well and for one panorama shot, and for a detail in macro, both for a portrait; the possibility, in addition, to shoot in RAW mode makes it more pliable even in post-production. I enjoyed the EVF: despite the quality that is at the limit of sufficiency, is absolutely practical, saves energy and has a taste a bit '"retro". However good the quality & toserious; and the display resolution adjustable.

Pros: Machine reportage fantastic image quality very good high iso little noise, lots of personal settings, viewfinder, which is always handy in certain situations, all aim to do

Cons: slow writing on the card, the faster reflex that I hold, circular ring on the back

Opinion: I just bought this new Nikon Nikon come from two semi-pro, I was looking for a camera body smaller and lighter to carry me around, to be seen less noticed, and be able to take pictures at any time and place, without attracting too much attention, .A masterpiece fantastic image quality, high ISO and excellent management, excellent lens all farerne fun, very well the quick menu, which allows you to adjust image quality, ISO, WB in a second, requires the reading of his manual, if you really want to exploit its potential if true, this does not mean that it is for my personal taste, top, has the reflex but then again deserves special attention.

Pros: Professional characteristics, focal length, optical quality and possibility of using filters.

Cons: The dimensions of the sensor (1 / 1.7 ").

Opinion: I already had a P7000 which I was very happy, but the 7800 is much better, almost perfect. It is compact enough that you can always have in tow. Its yield does not regret having left the camera at home, especially if you are not forced to to crop the image and then you use the file to 100%. In fact, if you crop a shot (even at high ISO), the qualitative difference with an APS C (not to mention a FF) becomes apparent. The operating characteristics are purely professional: rn- electronic viewfinder, essential for when there is too much light and the monitor becomes unreadable rn- shooting in Raw rn- monitor orientabilern- level / electronic horizon and grid to facilitate composizionern- focal length range from 28 200 equivalent rn- automatic, semi-automatic, manual, 3 customizable programs, a good number of "scenes" programmed rn- bracketing rn- over and under exposure rn- possibility of using filters (diameter 40.5 mm) rn- ability to create settings personalizzatern- doubia ring multi function (for example, to adjust with the times and the other diaphragms when operating in M) rn- battery EN EL 14, the same as the entry level SLR Nikon rne much more ancora.rnPer Finally, I will change only when the Nikon will release a camera with a sensor similar to but larger
