Pros: Imaqe quality, excellent color, excellent bokeh for closeups, high contrast, sharp wide open, almost no loCA (longitudinal chromatic aberration). 1:1 (life size) macro. OIS is very good. WR is a nice bonus. Aperture ring is tight (you are not likely to change the aperture by accident).

Cons: It can show cat's eyes for out of focus background highlights when used as a portrait lens

Pros: Sharpness, AF fast and safe.

Cons: I don't know. Maybe the long lens hood.

Opinion: I bought it recently and I have to say that it goes beyond my expectations. I use it with the XT1 both for portraits and for macro and it is very fast. The produced files provide "dry" trend images and need very little Post. The dimension does not go unnoticed. Being stabilized you can safely use times unthinkable even with shorter optics. The price is not cheap but it deserves it.

Pros: Image quality, construction, weight

Cons: Not able to find one trial cause too limited in time

Opinion: I tried this great lens during the photo marathon in Florence. What about, those few hours that I had it available is a great lens. Assembled perfectly, perfectly balanced with the XT2 with a weight that for my taste is great for the lens that it is. Contrast and sharpness from macro lens really top. Tropicalized. I couldn't find any flaws, maybe because of the limited use, maybe because it has none. High price but very appropriate to the quality of the lens.
