Pros: light and portable , image quality, pleasure to use

Cons: not the Hasselblad colours

Opinion: I bought this camera because I miss my XPAN Hasselblad , the pano mode was just exceptional and that camera was my most used in the analog age¨the new Fuji is absolutely usable as a portable , carry always light camera and the image quality is very good. I use normal an XCD 2 Hasselblad, and I tried to compare. The Hasselblad has the advantage of changing lenses and the new lenses, 45,28 and 55 are very compact, although not the quality of their 80 or 30 or 21 older lenses. I do not like the film simulation in the Fuji, Best used with simple Raw and then adaptive colour in Lightroom, gives me the best results. yes I miss the IBIS , but F4 is no problem as I do mainly Landscape. so I take this Fuji everywhere with me, always in Pano XPAN mode and I do not regret.

Pros: Small , can be used in one hand , excellent files , very nice shooting experience , battery life, nicely finished and engineered.

Cons: perhaps the relative slower lens and expensive!

Opinion: I have the camera in use now for 1 week and very satisfied with it. The biggest concern was the lack of IBIS.But can train yourself getting consistent sharpness results when using SS of 1/50 or 1/60. Some manage to get sharp images when slower SS are used. I now realise that the concept (compact size AND practical usability) is a success. The lack of IBIS is not such a problem: after all , when the subject you take photos off , is moving and it usually does , even slower SS would be useless. The leaf shutter helps a lot here. The fact that the camera is not too small , helps holding it steady! We all know the great characteristics of the GFX lines , so no complaint here! The lens is harp at all distances and is comparable with the GF 32-64 at F4 The crop, aspect and film sims in one hand camera might sound useless , but the user experience is the best i had since many years! Expensive for sure but you get what you pay for!

Pros: ? Spatial image quality: 102 MP that gives a depth and detail that only Medium Format can offer. ? Iconic Design: A rangefinder style that combines aesthetic beauty and discretion. Perfect for reportage and street, where you don't want to go unnoticed but remain elegant. ? Premium Construction: From the strap to the lens hood, every detail of the kit screams quality. Fujifilm has created an addictive object. ? Unique Character: A camera created for those who love portraits and landscapes, capable of giving a "look" that full-frame only dream of.

Cons: ?? Lack of IBIS: True, there is no internal stabilization. But let me understand: before, with film, how did we do it? This camera forces you to go back to knowing how to photograph. Right timing, steady hand, technique. Sharpness is earned on the field. ?? It's not for sport: Of course, it wasn't born for Formula 1. It has its own times, it requires reflection. It is a machine that imposes a slower and more reasoned pace. ?? Important investment: Costa, useless to beat around the bush. And 100MP files also require muscle on the computer. But the results justify every penny and every GB of space.

Opinion: The perfection of the Medium Format Rating: ????? Months have passed since the purchase and I can confirm it: it is simply the perfect machine! It is a complete tool from every point of view. Of course, the cost is important and you have to be able to afford it, but life is only one and passions must be cultivated. The equipment is top-notch: filter, lens hood and strap are all of premium quality. The stock lens is also perfect in my opinion, despite the f/4 aperture. There are many complaints online, but the question is: have you tried it? Have you seen the results? Many criticize the lack of IBIS (internal stabilization), and it is true, there is none. But first? In the era of film, how was it done? There wasn't, exactly. Today it seems that no one is able to shoot without electronic help. Let's be clear: it is not a camera body designed for sport, even if with a little effort it lends itself to everything. It was born for reportage, portraiture, panoramas and Street Photography. Aesthetically it is beautiful and is really addictive. Praise to Fujifilm for the courage to create such a unique product!

Pros: Very cool. The exceptional battery tested for 2 days in sub-zero temperatures. The bezel was a touch of class and practicality.

Cons: The sore point I find that the lens lacks a thread of detail and sharpness, which would make it superb. An adequate app with iso times and everything you need to be on par with other machines.

Opinion: I have been using the camera for over two months, mainly to write an article about photographers for the month of January. Personally, I don't consider it suitable for street photography; I see it rather as an excellent choice for landscapes. I imagine it perfect to slip into your backpack for a mountain hike, accompanied by a light tripod, ready to capture sunsets from the summit. The quality is indisputable: you can go beyond ISO 2500 without fear of noise problems. With precise tracking, you can get incredible detail in the deep sky, although I think the lens could be improved to make the most of the sensor. The files are light and faster to open than those of the Sony A7R5; they almost seem smaller, but when you zoom in on the RAW, the quality of the information is much higher. If I had the chance, I would buy it, because I have to admit that I really enjoyed using it. For all those who are undecided and would like to see a raw write to me privately and I will be happy to provide you with the material.

Pros: Aesthetics, the car is beautiful. Then I share the pros of those who preceded me.

Cons: For me none, but it is not for everyone, and not only because of the cost.

Opinion: Simply fantastic camera, with sublime aesthetics. With that retro taste to which Fuji has accustomed us, enhanced by accessories such as the additional JJC wooden handle, or the aged brown leather half-case. It excites me just looking at it! All in less than a kilo of access to the point! Which for a camera with a large format lens is really a lot of stuff. For the rest, it doesn't bother me that the IBIS is missing or that the lens, moreover excellent, is only f4. I shoot landscapes and street mainly during the day, and if you need to manage poorly lit scenes this sensor has no problems with excessive noise, you can easily operate at ISO by candlelight. In addition, the 100 mpx allow high crops, to the point that with the lens set to 80mm you still get 20 mpx, with the advantage of maintaining both the GD and the 16bit color. In practice, it is like having a 28-65 multifocal lens on FF. The aspect ratio ring is also interesting, even if the image shown in raw is visible at 100%, its use allows more "reasoned" shots, however possibly adjustable in post. The central shutter, very quiet, does not cause vibration problems, and with due care times of 1/30 ° of a second are easily manageable. In terms of images, well, here we are on par with the pornographic aesthetics of the machine. The photos look wonderful, with vivid colors and infinite shades and an ability to recover dark areas without finding truly commendable noise. After all, the format of the sensor is known, its dynamic range is one of its main strengths. The battery lasts a lifetime, the viewfinder is excellent, the display is excellent as well as the built-in ND filter, the screw-on protective filter included in the package is excellent. The aperture ring is a pleasure to move with well-defined clicks and a mechanical noise that makes you understand how this Fuji is built. I like the original metal lens hood very much and unless I use the polarizer I always keep it mounted. As I see it, the RF is simply the state of the art of current digital photographic technology. Of course, being an expensive compact with fixed lens, it must be understood a bit, but those who succeed can only ... love it. I add the very useful possibility of mounting, via filter thread, the excellent Ricoh GW4 wide-angle add-on, thus obtaining a 21mm equivalent lens, with a very affordable expense and without loss of brightness.

Pros: Image quality, ergonomics, lightness, solidity

Cons: the size of the files, the menu apparently simple but then..., incomprehensible the RAW+JPEG combination to take advantage of the aspect ratios in the machine

Opinion: I state that, I have always found myself in the simplicity of shooting Leica M. Unfortunately, however, age advances and the need for the green dot that confirms the mass in focus led me in 2017 for the first time to approach the medium format of Fuji (gfx50s). A change, traumatic for me, big heavy camera and huge lenses, with hallucinatory menus compared to Leica but, above all and thank goodness, even then with a file of fantastic quality. The release of the GFX100RF intrigued me a lot for its characteristics on paper all to be verified, of course. Well when I had the opportunity, in Castel San Giovanni, to try it ... I must say it was love at first sight, well in short, I felt like I had a Leica M in my hand ... with all the main controls at your fingertips.... a spectacular EVF, crazy and silent ease of shooting... intuitive... all in priority of timing and with the central shutter that makes you forget in part the lack of the stabilizer and then ... and then an amazing continuous and precise autofocus... lightning fast (for the format). In addition, the possibility of using the aspect ratio immediately, I must say, is an extra boost to creativity for me, a little less instead the use of the crop ... I was already used to Leica M frames. The lens, with a much-criticized F4 aperture, on the other hand, for me, is an excellent lens... compact, very incisive, bright, with a really pleasant blur, progressive I would say... being very close to the sensor (1mm) it tends to make the image a bit fighted but, in Adobe LR, with its profile it is corrected very well, and then... you shoot at 20 cm !!, I was used to the 70cm of Leica M. What else can I add? Yes... it's great fun to walk around with the camera around your neck, with shutter speeds 1/500, iso Auto, Dynamic Range Auto, with facial recognition already at a distance of 5 meters... yes of course it's another way of doing Street but I like it I don't get tired, the executions are perfect, the high Iso with Fuji believe me are a problem overcome.... moreover you hardly have to deal with the highlights for the great dynamic range of the sensor, in addition to the colors ... Fuji colors with a superlative tonal range and then... if in the post you are "forced" to Crop... believe me, don't miss anything. You can also take excellent landscape photos complete with a tripod. A few words about the price... sorry but we have FF with 60 megapizzas that cost 5000 to which you need to at least add a lens then.... Certainly it is essential to know what we like to photograph and from there match the camera that best suits our needs

Pros: Image quality, Ergonomics, Lightness, Battery life

Cons: Some settings not very understandable, File size, original lens hood not very suitable

Opinion: Purchased by giving back a Leica M10-P, the initial impact was not the most serene. Accustomed to the spartan and immediate settings of the rangefinder M's, I find myself catapulted into a completely different world: in which simplicity is only in appearance and not in substance. It took me two weeks to decide which commands I would prefer to assign to the various buttons, a whole day of madonnate to understand that the wheel with which you select the shooting formats (which I will talk about shortly) only takes effect if you shoot in RAW + JPEG and does nothing if you shoot only in RAW. Another day "dedicated to various saints" to understand that the extended ISO sensitivity can only be selected if certain parameters are set and therefore not always. In short, the first few weeks, I admit, I was restless. I expected it to happen, but not like this. Yet I have had many Fuji ones. The lens that has F/4 as its brightness (eq. at F/3.2 in the smallest format) at first I found it worrying, seeing the ISO rise sharply as the light goes down. But then things happened: I began to get the hang of it and discover many pleasant aspects. Let's go back for a moment: the camera is aesthetically beautiful, has a solid construction, is extremely light and manageable (in relation to the format). The only part that seems less solid than the others is the SD card flap (double slot). Fuji provides a very good quality neutral filter that I immediately mounted. The lens hood, on the other hand, as soon as I saw it I put it back in the box: too wide and deep, it partially nullifies the small size of the camera. Immediately replaced with a metal Haoge, with short recessed sides, Leica Q style. The pure RAW files generated are exaggerated in size, it is better to set "lighter" RAW versions such as Lossless. My PC is still put to the test when I post-produce. You need memory, you need CPU, you need disk. The files that come out are still amazing, the ISO that I saw rise so easily during the shooting phase do not impact so much on the final result (it often happens to shoot at 12800 with a time of 1/250 indoors without too many worries). The lens is excellent, the blurred is very pleasant, it focuses from 20 cm, the sensor has a quantity of pixels to allow crops at extreme levels, which remain of adequate quality. It is made for this, like it or not it should be used like this. Microblur is a theme to consider and it would be advisable not to go below 1/125. The dynamic range is remarkable. The EVF is very good. The digital crop (zoom) lever is extremely convenient, which is immediately there at your fingertips in the form of a coaxial cylinder to the shutter button with a protuberance to operate it easily. In short, the ergonomics are excellent in my opinion. I took a month off carrying only 750 grams with which I did almost everything. Continuous autofocus is responsive (for the category), although it occasionally loses its lock on to the subject. Excellent option of being able to adjust the focus by hand, at the same time as the AF, with a ring that immediately seemed consistent and well frictioned under my fingers. On the contrary, the small dial with which you select the format (panoramic, square, 3:2...), beautiful to look at, initially seemed to me a kind of children's game. But over time I changed my mind. The shrewd photographer will be able to see the opportunity to decide in advance the format with which he will do a work, create a portfolio or a reportage. Without changing the camera, to facilitate a panoramic or square format, just select the desired value to pre-display the images in the final format already in the viewfinder and facilitate composition. It is an excellent camera, which as a concept forces compromises but which also returns a lot.
