Pros: Reliable, durable, portable, flight duration.

Cons: For my use it doesn't have many flaws, but the heaviest is the absent RAW format.

Opinion: I've owned it for 4 years, it even got caught on a branch spending a night in the cold and then plummeting from 12 meters. And it still works! Perfectly. As I said before, the RAW format is missing, which is a big limitation for the development of photos. The image quality is excellent if there is a lot of light, while at sunset or with high contrasts it struggles a lot and the quality drops dramatically.

Pros: Lightweight and pocket-sized, radio control also pocket-sized and lightweight, does not require a license to use it, exceptional video quality, good battery life, stabilization in the absence of excellent strong wind, rapid ascent / descent and remarkable maximum speed

Cons: It does not shoot in RAW (bigger defect, but it is of course a choice wanted by DJI), a signal that tends to get lost easily if there is an obstacle

Opinion: The Mavic Mini is my first drone and I use it every time as if it were a sacred relic. He accompanied me to the battery of Fort Chaberton, at 3130 meters above sea level, flying in conditions of strong wind and at prohibitive altitudes, especially considering the weight and size of this little jewel. Being able to see the world from a completely new perspective gives unparalleled emotions (and shots) every time. For the quality / price ratio, if the Mavic Mini shot in RAW, it would be the perfect drone in my opinion for a large slice of customers.

Pros: great value for money, no driver's license, lightweight, compact and good quality video in relation to the mounted sensor.

Cons: no active track, no waypoint, no 4k, only wi-fi connection, only lower sensors.

Opinion: the best drone for those who have to start, I do not use it for photos so I do not make judgments. the videos are great with a lot of light, less with little, but with the sensor so small can not wait miracles. I ride in 2.7 k then I monto in FHD and the results are more than satisfactory. I was very impressed by the stability even with medium wind, despite the small size and power of the engines. 3500 meters and didn't make a crease, obviously the batteries run out fast. Surely you should not overdo it and fly judiciously, also because there are only lower proximity sensors. I've been lucky but my specimen has never had problems connecting with the controller, I use it with iphone and it goes that's a pleasure. I miss the advanced active track features that in the mountains would be very comfortable. Ultimately a well-made object with excellent flying capabilities.

Pros: Lightweight, no driver's license, great value for money

Cons: It's not raw, no active track

Opinion: It is the best drone you can buy for this figure. Okay, it's not raw, it doesn't have active track, but these are all marketing choices. Who would buy the other drones if this was perfect? If you are a professional there are other models. If you are an amateur who likes to take a few flights, without having to spend 1000 euros of drone plus the driver's license, then the mavic mini is the right choice.

Pros: Compactness, good battery, lightness and cost.

Cons: Swinging signal, 2.7k 30P, no RAW, some FW problem, propellers that bend easily, not suitable beyond 2500m above sea level, no waypoint.

Opinion: A FLYCAM, this is the correct definition for the MavicMini, as indicated on the packaging. It is not a real DRONE as the limitations compared to the older siblings are important in some cases I would say abysmal. The photo/video compartment is heavily castrated; Not only videos with a lower resolution even to low-end smartphones, but also a very low bitrate, sharp and well-balanced photos in colors but limited to a JPG of a few MB, also is unusable at low lighting or worse at night, very few manual handling possibilities. The signal is swinging even under the same conditions: I flew it in the same spot and in the same path and in the same conditions I went from 600/800m away to just 50/100m with disturbed signal, if you then fly in the presence of goodbye trees, you lose it almost immediately. Accepted this compromise everything else is I would say in line with expectations and price. Unfortunately it is not suitable for mountaineers and high mountain hikers as it does not fly or with a high risk of losing it beyond 2500/3000m above sea level, moreover also on the manual is specified. After 9 months of owning it, since launch, would I buy it back? Ni... a mavic mini 2 could fill the technical gap in my opinion necessary to frame it as a real drone but moreover the weight limits imposed by the regulations have distorted in my opinion the project, had to weigh 50gr more and have more power in the engines The price is soaring but if our need is that of a real drone let go. My rating is 6/10. We await the mini 2

Pros: Ease of use, price, handling, no driver's license, weight

Cons: It doesn't shoot RAW, it also fears weak/moderate winds, no collision sensors

Opinion: At first I was tempted to buy the DJI Mavic Air 2 but considering it was my first drone I wanted to invest initially less money. The combo version costs just under 500 eur and includes in addition to the base version 3 batteries, paralysic, 3 pairs of spare propellers and a practical case for transporting the drone. Despite being my first drone I had no difficulty in using: it took just a few minutes of flight to get caught up in and take "measurements" even if the lack of collision sensors does not help. Very good is the DJI APP for flight with simple and immediate controls (iPhone version). The stabilization is really good despite being so light. For those like me who use it mainly in the mountains must be careful of the wind: in fact, a wind over 30 / 35 km/h is enough to ensure that the drone can not fly safely with warnings on the APP to land. For videos it proves great while to take photographs I would tend to advise against it. Overall I would recommend it for those who are in their infancy and for those who do not have great photographic expectations.

Pros: Price, ease of use, in-flight transmits safety, battery life, compact and light but also holds up a slight wind.

Cons: no RAW (JPEG only), propellers not easily removable, non-smart batteries, build quality not excellent (for the weight it has, there is to keep it for granted), unstable app on Android (I had to switch to iPhone), with little light has its limits, like most drones, professional excluded.

Opinion: I didn't want to start with a professional drone right away, like a Mavic Pro, Pro 2 or Zoom. At the same time, I didn't want to rely on the 100-dollar cinesate, because I'm sure it wouldn't end well. This little little gem from DJI allowed me to finally enter this beautiful world of aerial photographs and filming. Driven by good reviews, at the beginning of March I bought this little glass of technology. Because of the Covid-19 I was only able to test it seriously from the beginning of June. The first flights made in a place that was no longer the garden of the house, were immediately simple, reassuring and fun. I think if there was only one thing a drone had to transmit to the pilot during a flight, that thing should be safety: the safety that if anything the drone would have to lose the signal with the remote control, the quadcopter would return to its own at the point of takeoff. In this sense, testing the Return to Home (RTH) of the Mavic Mini several times, I had the pleasure of noting that the little one landed exactly where it took off, with a margin of error that in the worst case, does not get to exceed one and a half meters. This drone is also special for its weight of only 249 grams, which allows it to fly with less restrictions where the largest, by law, can not. I did not buy the drone for this feature but it is still to say that it is surprising that there can be so much technology in such a small and light object. The flaws: - inability to shoot in RAW: ok that is not a professional drone but is a feature that is now offered even by smartphones of medium-low range; - inability to remove propellers whenever you want to store or pull the drone out of the case, so that you do not want to unscrew and then screw 8 screws respectively at the beginning and end of each flight (propellers that, as demonstrated by some flight error warnings, are prone to bending even just by storing the drone in the original case of the Fly More Combo version); - DJI Fly app malfunctions with Android: not to risk, I preferred to switch to an iPhone 6s Plus and since then I have never had any problems again. My smartphone was still to be changed but certainly, who wants to take the Mavic Mini to save money, certainly does not hope to have to buy a new smartphone in order to fly in serenity; - batteries are not smart and this means that if you do not intend to use the drone for more than 10 days, you have to manually put them in storage mode: on the manual, DJI specifies to have them unloaded at a percentage between 60% and 40% to significantly lengthen their life; - touching the drone feels a few crunches here and there, definitely due to the very low weight... In my opinion negligible defect: either you have a light drone or one built in an excellent way. In any case, it is nothing to worry about. All of the aforementioned flaws were (perhaps) caused by a drone launch on the market too early (November 2019)? DJI wanted to make this little one a perfect Christmas present? Well in my opinion it has sold and will continue to sell this Mavic Mini for years and years to come. Photo quality not excellent but adequate to the price and if you have good preparation, even in post-production you can pull out excellent images, especially for a purely social use. I'm not used to shooting videos but I have to say that always in relation to the price of 400 euros, the quality, recording in 2K at 30 FPS is not bad at all. The FULL HD at 60 FPS is far worse. In conclusion I would recommend this Mavic Mini, especially in the Version Fly More Combo (100 euros), to anyone looking for a drone to get started and, why not, I would recommend it even to owners of larger drones to accompany this small 249 gr.

Pros: Lightweight! Affordable price for hobbyists; doesn't need a flight license in the city

Cons: no anti-collision sensor

Opinion: you don't feel it in your backpack. exceptional stability. good ready-made files. better to fly on sight but if you don't need (and almost never need) go far it's more than fine. For someone like me who uses it just for fun and take some photos and videos in the mountains just and advances. For those who use it by profession I think has excessive limitations (the lack of anti-collision sensors is the biggest problem)

Pros: Portable everywhere even with only two capacious pockets (drone in one and radio control in the other)

Cons: No collision sensors, no raw photos, but for the price it has not so bad

Opinion: Funny and easy to pilot the quality of the images are acceptable photo side but nothing more since you do not squeeze the files in post production otherwise being jpg of a small sensor you lose a lot and even too much. For videos obviously is not a professional but for social profiles or little more can go. Alone does few things needs to be flown carefully.

Pros: Small, light, practical and easy to use. Great files, stabilized.

Cons: If you have no experience in the field of photography you can last hard to pull out beautiful photos because it has little recovery of shadows and light (for beginners).

Opinion: I'm just happy with this little gem. Great value for money! I recommend it to all those who want to take up this area. Very easy to use. To me personally he lost the signal only once but nothing worrying. To date, I don't see any problems. On a photographic level you have to know how to deal with lights and shadows because otherwise flat, noisy and burnt images can come out above all. It has little room for recovery of shadows and lights, so you have to know how to turn defects into merits. But with a little photo preparation, you don't have any kind of problem to pull out nice photos. Too bad you can not program the size of the file in photos. At least, I only see it at 72 dpi so I have to enlarge it in post production. I'd go back and i'd take it back.

Pros: Unbeatable price quality. ditto portability. no permits. quality of the video.

Cons: for this price, none.

Opinion: you know at the purchase what you bring home since you do not take it without first informing you. Obviously at this price you can not have the same characteristics as a drone of 1000 euros, unlike the sensor is identical to that of the older brothers, except for the pro. however, the price quality of this product is unsurpassed; With 499 (combo) you take home a drone with which you can do anything, just a little practice, it has great stability, great movies, it's a lot of fun to use it, it doesn't need permissions and you can take it anywhere. highly recommended

Pros: Price, weight, portability, jpeg quality, little noisy, battery life

Cons: no raw format, heliches that move too much when you have to put it away, feet too low from the ground, can not go too far, lacks additional functions of the more expensive dji models

Opinion: I purchased the combo version with 3 batteries, battery charger and briefcase to carry it. The price is really great for the quality of the materials and photos it manages to take. The app is also easy to use and has several useful commands (although there are others missing that they could have inserted..). On the other side: - the feet are too low and so you have to always start it from a surface 100% flat, already from a lawn you often have problems - the pellets move too much and you risk to break them when you put away the drone - the stability is not great , I think there were also firmware problems but even just 20 meters away the drone lost the signal and I has already fallen several times on the ground for no reason despite in excellent condition with so many satellites hooked and zero wind - being so small you lose it o'o i et ho easily so better to be careful especially in busy areas - the quality jpeg is good but not exceptional, in pp you can not work miracles In complex it seems to me a good choice as first drone, surely it depends on the needs of the individual, in some cases it is better to orient yourself to more expensive models with more features.

Pros: Lightness, 2.7K, little noisy, battery life, flies well with good wind resistance despite the weight and the engines not powerful.

Cons: Ce transmission too weak, prone to interference, loss of signal already at 200-300 meters. Lacks DNG, lacks active track, low engine power and insufficient power warning. Lack of WB selection (serious on video).

Opinion: It is a drone for selfies, for small shots in the area, with little chance of being able to do post production. Those who have the Mavic 2 or even the Air feel extremely limited, but still are able to take home good images and videos. Good mid-range smartphone quality. If Anafi were 250 grams instead of just over 300 would give it a hard time. For the legislation it is still all to be seen and it is still worth waiting for July 2020 for the Entry into force of the EASAs, since in the transition period there is a lot of confusion in Italian legislation. However, insurance is mandatory from 15 December 2019 and then registration to D-Flight for the QR code is mandatory. So it's not true that there's all this freedom, and taking an online exam so I can use a serious drone for me is better. For critical areas, however, the speech is complex given the lack of signal reliability in urban canyons with high wifi interference and GPS signal loss. For me, it was quite useless, i wouldn't have bought it.

Pros: Maneuverability, ease of use, little bureaucracy, battery life.

Cons: Noise to all ISOs, no DNG.

Opinion: I wanted a drone that was simple to use, stable, with a good image quality and that didn't force me to do a thousand practices and shell out money for anything. The Mini was a good purchase: it pilots very easily and has a remarkable flight stability even in the presence of wind. The batteries last the right (about 27 min) and the range of use in image fluidity is more than enough even in the environment with many interferences (500m in the city and no lag on Ios). It's small, already at 80m you see it with fatigue and the gyr color is not quite right, at least the position light helps. From the photo sector you can not expect too much but it does not get bad, the videos are good but the have a lot of noise already at 100 iso and the current firmware applies by default an excess of sharpness especially on vertical lines; The wb is very good and the colors rather natural with a decent dynamic range. I would say the drone with the best price/performance ratio currently available, useless to take the superior models (they cost a lot and the images that churn are the same) unless you spend absurd amounts.

Pros: Portable, lightweight, fun, stable and amazing quality, price

Cons: Lacks the ability to shoot in RAW, dynamic range

Opinion: I bought it recently but immediately I became fond of it, maybe also because it is my first drone. I was very positively amazed by the quality and stability of the videos that it is able to churn out, especially in C mode. I haven't tried the 2.7K yet but already the Full HD seems great. It governs very well and also the DJI Fly app is very intuitive and easy to use. The dynamic range is not excellent, but sincerely for the price it has and for the fact that, at least for the moment, just insurance is enough, you can not ask for better. Unfortunately lacks the ability to shoot in RAW, I hope they implement this feature with the next firmware updates. The jpeg however you work pretty well. The Follow Me is missing, but it makes up for it by setting one of the QuickShots modes and moving slowly when the drone is at altitude so they can be followed. I don't know if they will ever even put the 4K because at that point it would be to the disadvantage of other models, in any case it is ideal to start. Fly More Combo recommended

Pros: Very portable, does not need licenses (for now)

Cons: It does not shoot in RAW, lack of sensors, shoots in 4:3 and 16:9 and not 2:3

Opinion: A drone with which you can really have fun and with which you immediately make "friendship". Incredible stabilization, although I use it mainly for photos makes really great videos and once you have taken the hand the movements are fluid and very pleasant. The camera allows both automatic and manual use giving the possibility to vary ISO and exposure. Only mistake I made (naively) in mid-November I ordered the base version and later Ordered the replacement batteries and charge batteries that have not yet arrived and do not know when they will arrive.

Pros: Take it everywhere - You only need insurance and nothing else but comply with ENAC rules

Cons: Doesn't have Follow Me or Active Track

Opinion: I had the spark, the mavic air and the mavic 2 pro , I sold them because I do not want to invest in exams, transponders and all the duties related to this weight band . I took this mini closed box before seeing any review online, compared to the spark and the mavic air has a scary battery life, coming to 15% in "normal" flight I did even 28 minutes with a charge. I recommend the combo version to have three batteries, the charger, the spare heliches and the transport handbag that you take individually would cost much more. Do not prey on the FCC version that is bought in Chinese stores, it is not so advantageous, if you force GPS abroad is illegal and if they stop you or if you make an accident there could be serious problems. The quality of the videos in 2.7k is excellent, comparable to the 4k of the Mavic Air on OLED 4k TV to have to see the differences you have to stay with your nose attached to the TV. It doesn't have manual controls for video camera settings but it does have the AE block which helps a lot. The JPegs are great, the same as those of Mavic Air but you can not change the white balance although automatically I have to say that for now he has never made a mistake. Compared to the others, automatic panoramas, automatic HDRs, etc. are also missing. all stuff easily doable in post , indeed the Automatic Air Panoramas were often not the best , better a suitable external software in my opinion. It does not have sensors except the VPU for landing and positioning without GPS , it is very stable , it is very easy and fluid to the response of the controls , much less nervous than air and spark and the radio signal in CE is great , I have never had forced disconnections in flight conditions non-extreme. It costs relatively little for what it offers and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a drone but who are frightened by the new ENAC regulations. The only real flaw that is missing in my opinion is that there is no Active Track mode, the one in which the drone automatically follows us and films, they say will never be implemented, yet there is in drones much cheaper and older as the Dobby Zerotech Wonder! Remember that insurance is mandatory However for me it's the perfect drone to take wherever I vote 10

Pros: Portability - Weight 249 grams - Price quality ratio

Cons: It doesn't shoot in raw - it doesn't have sensors - it doesn't have the 4k

Opinion: A brilliant drone, designed for newites and beyond. Being under 250 grams is a godsend. Considering the limits that this weight imposes on the drone does not lack anything, if used correctly knows how to give more than good results. Of course you can't compare it to a mavic 2 pro but consider that it costs 399 euros in the base verse and 499 in the combo version. At this figure and at this weight I do not think we could do much better! The only lack of photo livbello is the impossibility of shooting in RAW. All in all I recommend the purchase a lot because it is very fun and offers many benefits in exchange for some compromise!

avatarjunior
sent on 01 Dicembre 2019

Pros: Price Quality Weight

Cons: Low feet - lack of lights - color

Opinion: A machine designed to re-enter the new weight limits so you can fly where others stay on the ground. The camera great for all web/social uses, great ginbal is the stabilizer. Apps in Italian and simplified compared to other models. Unfortunately missing the lights and being gray disappears from view already at 40 meters if backlight or with cloudy skies. Low noise as soon as it rises above 10 meters, feet too low, you risk ruining the helipads easily
