Pros: Well done, sensor with few mpx, manual controls, rear joystick, nice viewfinder, nice colors, very similar to the 5D clsssic.

Cons: No spare parts

Opinion: Take the magnificent 5D Classic, put them inside an aps-c sensor: you will have the 20D. Wonderful jpgs with filmy colors, perfect maneuverability, no advanced automatisms or 10,000 distracting maf points and no slobbering artificial screen instead of the reflex viewfinder, zero liveview and no movies. A REAL DSLR, not a mobile phone with an interchangeable lens like modern mirrorless cameras. If you want to take photos and not sit on social media, take a seat.

Pros: Solid, ergonomic and easy to use. A real school camera

Cons: Nothing, considering that it refers to a technology from 20 years ago

Opinion: My first DSLR, robust and reliable, easy to use; in fact, I still own it and it is working, even if it is unused. A "spartan" reflex, produced 20 years ago and so don't expect automatisms and frills of any kind: the 20D forces you to an almost analog approach in its use. This is why I consider it an excellent "school-camera", for those approaching the world of photography, to start shooting and practice without breaking the bank. In my opinion, after learning how to use it thoroughly, you can compare yourself with any superior model. Of course, the 8.2 Mpx are not many and today they could be tender, but this must lead us to frame well and avoid exasperated crops. Raw files are good and light though. The ISO tightness in principle should not exceed 800, with higher values it appears conspicuous grain; unless you intend to obtain it in a targeted way. Limited autofocus but which must be compared to its time, on the other hand a good burst for the time. Very small LCD rear screen, from which the quality of the shot taken is not evident (but this was also a prerogative of the first 1D series). In short, a historic forerunner of the APS C and semi-PRO digital series, but which even today, with the right optics and the right exposure (and above all with the right eye) churns out beautiful and surprising photos.

Pros: Robust, reliable, simple to use, rendered with good lenses and vintage lenses, lightweight raw files, colors, CCD sensor.

Cons: A few mega pixels, it doesn't have all the commands of the latest, screen not usable to review photos. Few isos, so he doesn't take pictures in the dark.

Opinion: Take it for fun. I started photographing with manual goalses and adapters. The yield with a few fifty 1.4 was more than satisfactory. Using manual targets and without af it forced me to take a different way of photographing than usual. It's a very robust machine. The lack of resolution obliges you to be very careful about what you frame and I have to say that it is a good exercise. I always shoot in raw and notice that good files come out (but not always), certainly nothing to do with the super heavy ones of the last releases but if you have a good eye and be careful there are some nice photos. I got very fond of it for various reasons: the first is that you don't have to be careful what you carry with you and then because it produces images that you didn't really expect. The fact that I have isos up to 3200 in H mode (and no more) I also find it a good exercise to photograph. I really like the grain it produces at high iso on black and white. Great for manual use with vintage lenses, great if you don't want to fill your hard drive, great if you know post produce. In a nutshell: I found it very funny. Be clear: photographed during the day and outdoors, or use very bright objects. One last thing: Having a small screen that doesn't allow you to review photos as accurately as on the latest machines forces you to worry more about the shot than the result on the screen. It takes you back a little bit to the old way of photographing and I think this is a good school.

Pros: sturdiness, ergonomics, in used price, color rendering, optical burst

Cons: mpx few, small screen, ISO, autofocus is not very good because of the few AF points

Opinion: I bought this beautiful girl two years ago, spending exactly 159euro, had no problem, and a few scratches, the machine is reliable and robust ergonomic, I took quite a lot and never gave problems, the only niggles are the few autofocus points (9 ), the screen too small, the seal at high iSO and the few mpx. I recommend it to anyone who wants to approach the digital photography without many frills. to see some photos taken by me with this machine you can see them on my profile, or to My Profile 500px (https://500px.com/gianlucadesolda)

Pros: Robust, no "frills", ergonomic, made of soft and harmonious sensor. AF accurate and fast enough if understood and used properly.

Cons: 8mp and little resistance to high ISO, but at the time that passed the convent. No spot metering.

Opinion: Happy owner of a 20D to a little over two years, I like sports photography in the context of the motors with attached photos statiche.rnLa I find very important, which is only good when shooting on the track. I find the AF much more precise of my ex-1000D and 1100D; if necessary, use the AF stop button. RNLA color rendering and tone I find it very good and very comfortable to work in PP. I like the warm tones that pulls out, with little saturated blacks: they remind me of the films I've taken the first steps. rnrnPenso that will change in the future for a 5D mk2 to have more quality with a similar color rendering (and obviously even better)

Pros: robustness, reliability, commands in the right place

Cons: screen, ISO, seniority

Opinion: 3B price of the last new entry level.

Pros: Robust and reliable always

Cons: Small display

Opinion: Companion of over 10 years of photos after 300d, has just left the place at 7d. Excellent ergonomics coupled to bg e2 and used with good optics has been able to give me several satisfactions that I hope can continue with 7d. (He is not deceased but left in barter for the joy of some neophyte, otherwise he would have made the end of a paperback)

Pros: Robust, fast (compared to 10d and 300d because that was the time ...)

Cons: Dynamic range / color low and off

Opinion: I got it for a few years, surely among all the ones I've had is that I liked meno.rnLa dynamic range and color were really bad! Much better than the 300d, or 40d! RnInsomma avoid it if you were to find it in used, much better to wait for a 40d, the jump between the two is immense! RnOvviamente this comment is geared for those looking for a camera used for at least 10 years .

Pros: Robustness, precision, indestructible.

Cons: Small display.

Opinion: My first reflex, I bought in 2008, now 170,000 shots. When you pick up you have the feeling of having a robust SLR. The sensor, as the software is outdated, but its only (you have to say) 8.2 megapixels do not regret the newer models. A real gem! RnSe you make numerical comparisons with the latest sensors aps-c can not compete, but the yield is very high. Compared to the 30D and 40D, the sensor is less noisy to 1600 ISO, sensitivity maximum recommended on this machine, although expandable up to 3200. The targets use with L series and the combination is perfect. After so many years I think still a very valid machine! RnPreciso that is not the only body I have, but I consider it really battle, a body that will never leave you! (Chip shutter failure do us part ...!)

Pros: Body robust, foolproof, searchable less than 150 Euros, very simple functions, ISO 1600 usable, sensor sharp even with low ratio of megapixels, if used for good in RAW with the right optics, can crank out shots remarkable like the performance of existing camera bodies.

Cons: technology a little 'dated (but still eleven years), lack of spot metering, display really ridiculous (not even look at most) lack of processing picture style, color range a little off, low dynamic range .. white balance tending orange, 12-bit color with a few nuances.

Opinion: I purchased this canon in 2013, before I possessed a 1100D, initially, I thought the seller had cheated me in full, not a camera body easy to master for those coming from newer bodies, over time, learning to use the raw and using different perspectives, I realized that I was holding a gem, in the interior with the right openings can give shots warm and harmonious with natural light, really good in the pictures. Nowadays it is very outdated in terms of resolution, auto focus and ISO performance, but is still probably a good machine. Right now I want to change it because I need a camera body with professional performance, but do not sell it, and I'll keep it as a second body!.

Pros: Solid body, joystick

Cons: size of the rear LCD screen

Opinion: My first SLR, a car that still, with the right optics, holds up very well compared with the sisters fresche.rnMenu really spartan, camera essential. With a bit of PP is usable up to 1600ISO, 3200 are evitare.rnLa advice to those who want to take an SLR economic but from the solid and well proportioned. If you want a machine to learn how to take pictures, this is the case vostro.rn
