Sotto Palazzo Serra di Cassano

Palazzo Serra di Cassano, ingresso del rifugio antiaereo dove si rifugiavano i residenti di Via Monte di Dio durante i bombardamenti della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Tutti correvano lungo i 150 scalini che portavano ai sotterranei mentre suonavano le sirene che annunciavano un imminente bombardamento. Migliaia di persone stipate in quei cunicoli, dove una volta scorreva l'acqua e allargati per adibirli a rifugio. Il rifugio è visitabile all'interno del percorso “La via delle memorie”, uno dei quattro itinerari della Galleria Borbonica con ingresso proprio da Palazzo Serra di Cassano.
