Infrarosso - bianco e nero

Scatti effettuati con Canon 550D modificata IR720. La pp consiste solo nell'alzare il valore dell'esposizione, aumentare il contrasto, abbassare di poco rosso ed arancio. Tutte le regolazioni sugli altri colori sono ovviamente ininfluenti. Il cielo praticamente nero è dovuto al fatto che essendo il blu il complementare del rosso viene oscurato quasi del tutto. Il bianco quasi assoluto del verde invece è dovuta alla riflessione della luce sulla (eventuale) clorofilla. Il vantaggio principale ed immediato di scattare con una macchina modificata è che non bisogna esporre con tempi molto lunghi (spesso anche più di un minuto) ma i tempi sono praticamente quelli di una normale macchina (forse 1 stop in più, ma dipende dalla situazione...). Lo svantaggio è che con una macchina modificata, si scatta solo in infrarosso e la modifica è (almeno economicamente) irreversibile. Attenzione agli obiettivi: l'ideale sono focali tra il 18 ed il 50mm (su aps-c); al di sotto ed al di sopra di queste focali può capitare che si manifestino fastidiosissimi (e molto difficilmente recuperabili) effetti di ghosting. Con immagini scattate in infrarosso, si possono ottenere anche splendidi colori (non reali, comunque); in questo caso la pp richiede una modifica dei canali (bisogna invertire da 0% a 100% e viceversa i valori del blu e del rosso). C'è un bellissimo video di Raffaele Canepa (su YouTube) in cui il fotografo spiega in maniera molto approfondita -sia dal punto di vosta tecnico che pratico- la tecnica dell'infrarosso. Consiglio una visita a chi volesse approfondire la materia.
