Biosphere Reserve Bliesgau

La riserva della biosfera di Bliesgau è una riserva della biosfera dell'UNESCO nel sud-est del Saarland, al confine con la regione francese della Lorena e della Renania-Palatinato. Copre un'area di circa 36.000 ettari ed è principalmente caratterizzata da boschi, frutteti e paesaggi di pianure alluvionali dei Blies. Inoltre, la diversità delle specie animali e vegetali così come la fitta giustapposizione di aree urbane e rurali sono caratteristiche della regione.
