Piccole chicche milanesi. In ordine troviamo: 1. la Cappella di S.Aquilino, presso la Basilica di S. Lorenzo, eretta probabilmente prima dell'anno 400. Sono originali i mosaici e la cupola sferica, addirittura precedente è il meraviglioso portale di marmo (I secolo). Nella cappella sono conservate le reliquie di S. Aquilino, conosciuto all'epoca per l'assistenza donata agli appestati (al tempo del covidaviro penso che rivolgergli una preghiera possa essere di aiuto). Fu assassinato da eretici mentre pregava in S. Ambrogio e la tradizione vuole che fu portato in S. Lorenzo da un gruppo di facchini, di fatto la Chiesa lo ha nominato loro protettore. 2. la Basilica Romana Minore di S. Celso, oggi sconsacrata si trova presso al Santuario di S. Maria dei miracoli, in corso Italia a Milano. Edificata intorno all'anno 1000, presenta oggi solo alcune parti originali: il portale e la pregevole architrave con bassorilievi della vita di S. Celso e di S. Nazzaro, il rosone e l'abside. Le foto hanno l'intento di suscitare la vostra curiosità! Ah ... S. Celso aveva dai 18 ai 21 anni, era a Milano per il servizio militare e subì il martirio sotto Nerone. S. Nazzaro pare sia stato martirizzato insieme a S. Celso e furono sepolti nello stesso luogo e assieme furono ritrovati da S. Ambrogio. Una nota va inoltre fatta per la lunetta del portale affrescata dal Cerano nel tardo 1500 e per le raffiugurazioni del portale ligneo (1450 ca).
