Di acqua e luce

Era "una strana magia, una irrefrenabile attrazione verso quell'acqua che piano e inesorabile saliva e conquistava tutto ciò che sino a poco prima era asciutto e calpestato da una folla di sorrisi, stupori e clic volenterosi di rubare la meraviglia". Scrive nel febbraio del 1979 Fernanda Pivano. Già, perché quando arriva lei, l'acqua alta, Venezia mostra un altro volto. Questo temibile e seducente fenomeno pare quasi far galleggiare i monumenti della città in una sospensione temporale nella quale ci si trova immersi. L'acqua che lentamente si alza e inghiotte piazze e calli, zampillando dai tombini di piazza San Marco o aggredendo ondivaga le fondamenta, incute timore e al contempo suscita fascinazione. La bellezza di Venezia però sta anche in questo: nella sua fragilità, in questo "odi et amo" che compone con il mare, con quella laguna che poi è il suo liquido amniotico. Di acqua e luce sono composte queste foto scattate in una indimenticabile alba invernale.
