Cornwall light and shadows 2017

Cornwall between light and shadows è il titolo della mia nuova galleria dedicata al mio viaggio dell'estate 2017 realizzato dal 3-17 agosto tra Cornovaglia e Dorset. Il titolo è una metafora che rispecchia il meteo molto nuvoloso in Cornovaglia che mi ha fatto letteralmente combattere in certi giorni con il sole per trovare dei raggi di luce che illuminassero le splendide scogliere. Ma la metafora sta a significare anche le grandi differenze che ho notato a livello paesaggistico...grandi scenari marini a cui però non corrisponde una bellae dolce campagna spesso molto brulla forse dovuta al forte vento che impazza sulla costa. Anche i villaggi mi hanno un po deluso rispetto per esempio a quelli bretoni o normanni o della stessa Isola di Rugen. Insomma la Cornovaglia in un certo senso ha deluso un pò le mie aspettative, ma gli scenari marini che ho visto sono davvero insuperabili e questo vale davvero il viaggio. Tra l'altro devo dire, e non lo sapevo, che la Cornovaglia è la contea più povera di tutto il Regno Unito e questo si vede eccome. Le tappe del mio viaggio: 3-8 partenza da Pisa alle 14.00/ 4-8 arrivo a Calais Eurotunnel alle 03.30 ed imbarco in direzione Folkeston alle 05.30. arrivo a Porthleven il nostro villaggio questo davvero grazioso alle 16.00 circa/ 5-8 trekking Lizard village-kynance Cove-Lizard village 10km circa meraviglioso/ 6-8 Porthleven-Land's end-Sennen Cove-Botallak Mine-Porthleven/ 7-8 Porthleven-Marazion-St. Michael's Mount-Truro-Porthleven/ 8-8 Porthleven-St. Ives-Botallack Mine-Portheleven/ 9-8 Porthleven-Tintagel Castle-Boscastle-Pothleven/ 10-8 trekking Kynance Cove-Predannack Wollas-Kynance Cove 11km meraviglioso/ 11-8 trasferimento nel grazioso Dorset dove ho passato altri cinque giorni nel paesino di Evershot. Ho alloggiato all'Ebenezer cottage a Porthleven un villaggio davvero grazioso sull'Oceano
