 Monte Rosa sulla sfondo - 1

Questa è una minima parte delle foto che ho scattato al Monte Rosa. Quasi quasi potrei dire che quella montagna è per me quello che il Fuji era per Hokusai. Ovviamente NON mi passa minimamente per la testa di paragonare le mie modestissime fotografie a quel che rappresentano le "35 vedute del Monte Fuji" per la pittura dell'era Genroku. Però fin da bambino quella montagna ha colpito la mia fantasia, risvegliando probabilmente qualcosa di ancestrale. C'è chi afferma che fosse la Montagna Sacra per le popolazioni celtiche della Valle Padana, ma confesso che non ho mai verificato le fonti di questa tesi. Però a vederlo da varie località della Lombardia e del Piemonte non si fatica a crederlo. Sull'archetipo della Montagna Sacra come Centro del Mondo, compendiato dal termine sanscrito "Meru", Mircea Eliade ha scritto pagine memorabili nel suo "Trattato di storia delle religioni" (Torino, Bollati Boringhieri, 1976), ma è un tema ricorrente in altre sue opere. A includerlo nelle mie immagini in varie ore del giorno, nel continuo mutamento della luce, delle stagioni, delle condizioni meteorologiche (Ukiyo-e: "Immagini del mondo fluttuante" - tutto muta incessantemente, solo il Monte Fuji permane, eterno e imperturbabile) ho l'impressione (o l'illusione) di rappresentare l'essenza del "genius loci" della terra in cui sono nato, cresciuto e pure invecchiato.
