![]() | Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Pros: Very sharp, fast, superb colours. Cons: Knew it was heavy, so I was not surprised; it does take some getting used to though. Hood very large, but essential Opinion: Overall, I am delighted with the lens; I found that it was better as a two lens kit- Sigma 24-35 F2 Art, and the Sigma 105 F1.4 art, on the Nikon D3- unbeatable combination ! At present I use the subject lens for all subjects, although I think it was primarily intended for studio and people. I have had the odd raised eyebrow, but i have always used my camera and specific lenses for all types of work; Once you have got used to the weight, it becomes second nature. sent on September 28, 2019 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-Pro2 Pros: very solid camera; It produces excellent files, and once you have studied the menu options carefully, does exactly what you want. Cons: Very expensive camera; very offputting that there is no written manual- the supplied disc did not function- it showed up on the desk top, but would not open! I think that with a camera which is top of the range, the least Fuji could do is to supply a proper manual. Opinion: Gradually getting used to the beast- it performs very well, lovely colours straight out of the camera (JPEG). i have written to Fuji asking for a written manual As I also have the X-pro !, which I am very pleased with, I think the changes which have been made to the X- pro 2 are subtle, but very noticeable I prefer to use JPEG, rather than RAW, despite what everyone seems to think is the cats whiskers ! I think the JPEGs are excellent out of the camera; I prefer to spend my time shooting, rather than crouching in front of a computer ... I think the battery life is a little low, but so is that of the Leica M10, more than 3 times the price ! sent on September 23, 2017 |
