![]() | GoPro Hero7 Black Pros: Video quality - photo quality - stabilization - audio - superphoto and Raw mode Cons: Software - battery consumption Opinion: I have owned this gopro for a few months; it's a fantastic actioncam, lightweight and easily transportable. The waterproofing makes it usable in humid contexts and with high water presence (we recommend the watertight chamber for diving). The video audio quality is very good as well as the photo quality. The superphoto feature is great and to make the most of the use of a gorillapod to stabilize the sequence of photos. The biggest flaw lies in the software, intuitive but slow, prone to frequent lag and unmotivated crashes. Battery consumption is quite high if you use it with active connections and keeping it always on otherwise you can safely make a day. sent on October 25, 2019 |
![]() | Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Pros: Compact, Sharp (especially from F 2.8 to F11). Cons: Lack of hood in the box Opinion: I own a recent specimen and I do not feel like to share (for now) what is described on this forum. The sharpness is very good, the vignetting is quite marked at f 1.4 and it attenuates by closing the diaphragm a bit; The autofocus is quite responsive and discreetly noisy. It is a light and easily transportable lens in any outfit... to have definitely. For me a serious lack is the absence of the hood in the package. sent on June 28, 2018 |
![]() | Canon EF 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM Pros: Versatility - Flare Insensitivity - Weight-Sharpness Cons: Flashy paralight Opinion: I have been doing this for some time; I couldn't help it. The sharpness is excellent in the center of the frame and has some drop to the extremes, especially at 17mm and f4 diaphragm; negligible to me. The focal excursion makes it comfortable both in landscaping and in reportage. It has a non-intrusive and easily correctable distortion. Construction and tropicalization make it usable even in bad weather conditions. I recommend a front filter. sent on August 21, 2017 |
![]() | Manfrotto BeFree Pros: Compact - lightweight - easy to adjust Cons: The maximum extension height of the head, the camera swings a little bit Opinion: What can we say .... there are so many positive opinions on this tripod. Opens in a short time and in a small space, lightness comes in handy when walking so much and also has a nice pouch for storing it when not in use. If I had to find fault I would say that the compact is binding only for use with the strong head screws and when the "neck" is all extended reflex fluctuates a little bit so I recommend to use a remote shutter release or leave the neck at the minimum height . sent on May 18, 2016 |
![]() | Joby GorillaPod Focus Pros: light weight - stability - good quality head Cons: --- Opinion: A fantastic mini tripod; the right is stable and allows long exposures if anchored well. The legs can be tied to any structure (balconies - railings - poles) and the rubber rings offer a good seal. Council to match it to the head Ballhead X for a more versatile use because otherwise you have to balance the reflex by moving the legs. I never brought to 5kg limit of lead but with about 2.5kg gets along very well. sent on May 18, 2016 |
![]() | Lowepro Photo Hatchback 16L AW Pros: Lightweight and roomy Cons: --- Opinion: A handy and lightweight backpack, good quality. The back pocket can hold an SLR and two fixed lenses or an SLR and a handyman; the opening remains hidden behind his back and can be reached only by removing the backpack. The top pocket is roomy and can hold several personal items. The front zip pocket can hold a mini ipad smoothly. rnIl negative side is the fact that when used with a tele 70-200 type does not allow to introduce other lenses, if not using the top pocket. sent on May 18, 2016 |
![]() | Canon 6D Pros: Yield at high iso - raw image quality - weight - video quality - wifi on camera Cons: need to "tweak" in the menu to enable certain functions Opinion: The Canon 6D is my first FF, was given to me, and it went and support a Nikon APSC. I am fully satisfied. I state that my remarks primarily derived from comparisons with the D7100. RAW image quality is very high and easy to work in post-production, the meter underexpose a little but once you understand it you can not handle it all with ease; the iso made is remarkable, you can safely shoot up to 12800 with no particular worries while above this value, you require a heavier denoise (personal opinion). rnIl viewfinder is very bright even if there is 100% coverage while in liveview mode, despite the focus by contrast, the performance is good, and I appreciate the ability to view the histogram while shooting and not afterwards as with Nikon . rnPer As for video shooting, the aperture control is a plus it lacks in Nikon and that is appreciatedimmediately in the first round while for the speed in focus in liveview it is preferable to the manual focus. RNLA burst is decent but for sports shots and birdlife think it is undoubtedly more indicated a 7D. rnUna small flaw in my opinion is the lack of a dedicated button for white balance, instead of the present Canon 5D and 7D, which obliges to always use the menu (still easily accessible via the Q key). sent on March 16, 2016 |
