![]() | Sony FE 20-70mm F4 G Pros: Sharpness, focal range, size Cons: Nothing Opinion: It is truly a masterpiece because despite being a zoom with a focal range that starts from 20 there is no compromise with quality. It is also small and inconspicuous. I have just returned from Morocco and I have used it to do street in the souks and views in the desert, always with maximum satisfaction. Even after using it under a sandstorm I didn't feel any grains of sand getting into the zoom and focus rings, despite not being an internal zoom. Anyone who knows the desert sand knows what I mean. ![]() | Viltrox AF 16mm f/1.8 Pros: Amazing sharpness already at full opening, construction, screen with settings and function keys Cons: For now, no one Opinion: Love at first use, incredible sharpness already at 1.8 which becomes excellent at 2.8 at least on my alpha IV and alpha 9 bodies. Very manageable vignetting in real use. Fast AF. Very nice blur. The metal construction gives a solid feel that I haven't had since my first SLRs in the 80s. Tropicalized and internal fire. Upgradable via usb c socket sent on December 21, 2024 |
![]() | Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM Pros: Focal "extreme" in DX-format, high sharpness and distortion well contained, compact size, solid construction, great price compared to what is offered Cons: Minimum aperture a bit closed. Opinion: I needed / wanted something shorter than my 12-24 f / 4 Nikkor, and having been able to try along the Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 I opted to push this point even more, in my opinion is superior in everything except that in the maximum aperture to 10-20.
