Nikon Coolpix P600 Pros: Overall versatility and unobtrusive video Cons: Poor image quality, sometimes awkward autofocus Opinion: Excellent for documentary photos of the fauna without too many pretensions. Taken as a replacement for the p520 with which I had a lot of fun. I thought of an upgrade but I had to change my mind. The quality of the files is worse, as is the rendering in general. Almost never usable at full zoom, except for videos, but in that case the stabilizer is almost always uncertain handheld. Compared to the model mentioned above, the resolution of the adjustable display is lower while it has an additional preview of the exposure. The autofocus is decidedly slow and uncertain on moving subjects but these are intrinsic problems of these toys. The viewfinder is what it is, the construction does not return absolutely security and solidity and right from the start some buttons and the selection ring "went off" going haywire. In general, a step below the p520 is absolutely not comparable to a reflex. I wouldn't buy it again to use it in the nature field, but certainly a fun camera in other areas without demanding too much and forgetting to crop the photos sent on 09 Gennaio 2026 |
