Nasco a Pisa, mio padre si trasferisce a Firenze che avevo tre anni, inizio a lavorare che avevo appena quindici anni, poi il militare e subito dopo il matrimonio con Paola da cui ho un figlio nel 1969, figlio che è morto il 30 settembre 2015 in seguito ad un incidente stradale causato da una donna che viaggiava con disattenzione, probabilmente con il telefono in mano durante la guida. Ho fatto 50 anni di lavoro dei quali 40 di ferrovia, anche mio figlio era ferroviere come lo è altrettanto mia moglie. Eravamo felici nella nostra vita semplice e normale, ma la morte di mio figlio ci ha portato in una dimensione irreale da cui uscirne non sarà più possibile. La fotografia è una delle cose che mi aiutano ad andare avanti e vedere attraverso le foto "ciò che è stato", "ciò che è", ed in un certo senso.. anche "ciò che sarà".......
