![]() | Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Pros: Sharpness, contrast, backlight resistance, color neutral yield, AF, contained and still easily correctable distortion, ghetto fluidity, internal zoom travel, tropicalization, compactness and lightness, 67mm filters Cons: Lack of physical keys, relative lack of stabilization, tropicalization(?) Opinion: Top-notch image quality for this bright wide-angle zoom, always crisp even at TA and from the center to the most extreme angles, especially at intermediate diaphragms. It has a fairly neutral rendering of colors and excellent contrast, the merit of which would go to the incredible anti-glare treatment that makes a flare practically impossible even in extreme backlights. The distortion is there but it is not a problem, being light and normal for a wide-angle zoom, barrel at the minimum focal and bearing at maximum, still correctable in the car apparently without losing field angle (perhaps inertia). Pleasant to use thanks to low weight and size and long and fluid rings (perhaps too thin that of the MAF). AF good for a wide angle and quiet. You feel, personally, the lack of a physical key, but not stabilization if you use a body with sensor that is equipped with it. Good for nocturnal and starry, given the absence of chromatic aberrations, with perhaps the presence of light coma (but for niche genres, I think more specialized optics should be used and I am not able to review in this field). Tropicalized lens but that let in the body and end up on the sensor a grain of huge dust despite being grafted and used for days (honestly I wouldn't test it in particularly adverse weather conditions). The focal range covers the three most wide-angled (20-24-28) with the ultragrandangular just below 18mm, allowing ample margin in composition and having proved comfortable and versatile (a wider range would have compromised compactness and optical quality, and with the new compact fixes available for Sony for more extreme focals, it would have been superfluous). The absence of the distance scale is not a problem on mirrorless bodies. The materials are plastic, but of good quality. Overall, therefore, it is a lens of the highest level and in my opinion of good value for money. Not perfect at all, but almost, depending on its placement range. sent on March 01, 2021 |
![]() | Olympus 50mm f/1.8 OM F.Zuiko Pros: Image quality, contrast, focus accuracy, compactness and lightness Cons: In ta backlight it loses a lot of contrast and sharpness (but it is still a vintage with therefore an anti-glare treatment not up to the current ones), minimum focus distance of 0.45m Opinion: It is simply pleasant to use, thanks to its comfort of use and above all to the optical quality quietly comparable to that of 50mm even more recent; beautiful aesthetically and inexplicably very cheap (it is also in excellent condition at €20/€30 currently). Its merits make it a best buy lens capable of still giving great satisfaction after almost 50 years, although its best version seems to be the third produced since the late 1980s. The focus ring is precise, the blurry in my opinion pleasant, the level of detail in the images makes it also suitable for landscape use or close up, perhaps with extension tubes given the minimum focus distance not really short. Good level of contrast and balanced color rendering, perhaps sometimes tending very little to warm shades. Achilles heel are the backlights, especially with artificial lighting, to which the now dated anti-glare treatment can not resist, compromising sharpness and contrast and highlighting chromatic aberrations. On the whole it is certainly a lens capable of being appreciated and to which you are easily attached! sent on March 01, 2021 |
![]() | Huawei P9 Pros: Design, material quality, camera quality, performance, files in RAW, dual camera with native biancoenero, foolproof fingerprint sensor, Gorilla Glass 4, 2.5D screen Cons: Quality of the video not up, ergonomics, lack of a stabilizer, supplied headphones scandalous (draft of Apple, with very poor sound quality) Opinion: impeccable construction, however, materials with a wire slippery (a cover to be able to increase the grip is essential); very pleasant and attractive design (though the white version there is an ugly black border along the edges of the screen); IPS screen with good angles of vision, high brightness, good reading in full sun, but with impeccable color blacks not deep enough; performance as a true top of the range, with a fast processor and a well optimized despite 3GB RAM as standard (a jig in less competition, which, however, not always on par optimization); Photo outstanding sector: Leica, Sony sensor lenses, the second processor dedicated exclusively to the camera and sensor with native BN offering images from the sharpness and excellent dynamic range for a mobile device; excellent also the front camera; battery good but not great (you arrive safely at the end of the day with 4G use, some games, social, email and calls, but with a more userintense charging mid-afternoon is essential); excellent signal reception both in terms of calls that the network, mobile or Wi-Fi, thanks to the numerous antennas; OS interface simple, intuitive and enjoyable; The gesture comfortable the fingerprint sensor with regard to notifications, the camera, the gallery; NFC; interesting voice controls although not infallible, and a little lower; does not heat at no time, except slightly in the use of the camera (perhaps for the additional processorino); presence of USB-C; ear headphones supplied scandalous, with disastrous sound quality; good speaker quality, but with the lack of stereo sound; Price average output, currently very competitive. ---- In summary: smartphone by the excellent quality / price ratio, good in all, excellent in the photographic industry, excellent in performance in line with other top of the line, good to see. sent on March 31, 2017 |
![]() | Zenit Helios 44-2 58mm f/2.0 Pros: Bokeh, swirl, construction, clarity, ease of disassembly and internal cleaning, colors, baffles preset ring. Cons: Little sharpness to TA, little resistance to flare (personally, not a great defect), but above all: every copy is a special case. Opinion: Goal from the nominal charge, this model Helios proves great for both portraits (thanks to its softness at room temperature and its fuzzy fairytale) that still life (thanks to the sharpness that recovers once even diaphragmed one stop) and macro ( thanks to the preset aperture ring that lets you work smoothly and stop down with extension tubes and reversing rings). Of robust construction, it proves to be particularly simple to disassemble for eventual cleaning of the lenses and of the diaphragm, which in most of the specimens of lubricant is particularly dirty. The swirl makes it a great lens for artistic photos and sought; very fun to use. The colors that returns just amazing: every picture taken with this Helios has a wonderful atmosphere, rare colors in modern optics, and also more expensive. The little resistance to the flare is not in my opinion a big problem and could, in some cases, give even more character even with the "defect" of the "bokeh swirlato". In my opinionIt is a "must", and collectibles that true owner in the pink of their team goals. Its vintage charm and its actual performance, including strengths and weaknesses, make it unique and special, able to convey emotions with every shot ever granted. Unfortunately, all I have said so far, it might be only for my copy, and some others, because, having been built by hand decades ago, each specimen could differentiate themselves from others. In fact, they are not a few people who notice differences between more of the same model ... Overall, it shows a slow character and never tires. sent on March 11, 2016 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G VR II Pros: Lightness, compactness, sharpness, AF discreet, excellent stabilization, is collapsible Cons: Dark, delicate and plasticky Opinion: Objective strongly underestimated: despite the price, the materials and the low light, has a good sharpness even at room temperature and if closed some stop is more than valid for different types of photography for which you do not need large openings. Lightweight and compact, it becomes even more transportable once "collapsed". The autofocus is not very fast, but good. I find it very efficace.rnTuttofare stabilization kits great to start, but also outputs read unpretentious. Good in the range of wide-angle focal. Unfortunately, the materials that make up make plasticky and delicato.rnNell'insieme proves to be a very objective and valid at all obvious. Price / attractive price. sent on January 02, 2016 |
![]() | Nikon Coolpix L29 Pros: Lightness, practicality, quality image, price. Cons: At these levels and at these prices, the only cons that can be found are the alkaline batteries and the lack of stabilization. Opinion: With its practicality and its portability is a compact, attractively priced, valid for some photos unpretentious. Easy to use, as a true "point and shoot" should be. The image is good and detailed despite its 16 MP, that of compact starting to be many, because of the very small sensor. Only flaws are the lack of stabilization (due to what many photos are also moves to focal not high) and alkaline batteries, replace it immediately to me with little practical rechargeable. The screen is of the right size, but perhaps with a little low resolution ... I feel nonetheless to advise on the value for money, good throughout the series Coolpix L. sent on May 14, 2015 |
