![]() | Pentax DA HD 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR Pros: lightweight, space-saving, good finishes, very good performance, silent in the maf Cons: it has a small aperture over the long distance, but in those dimensions and in that weight you can not expect more Opinion: On the k70 I used for a couple of years as a tele-zoom the breaker (F 70-210). So noisy that, so quiet the 55-300. Few uncertainties in the maf, good resolution (excellent at short focal lengths). Very good color rendering. It holds well in the hand and is very comfortable to carry when it is portrayed at the minimum size. However, there is the brief loss of time to put it back in operational condition: not very significant in landscape photography, a bit boring in the photo of dynamic subjects or in an unexpected action. sent on August 21, 2022 |
![]() | Pentax DA HD 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 ED DC WR Pros: appearance, finish, resolution in the center Cons: unsatisfactory resolution on one side Opinion: For the K70 I bought almost immediately a Sigma 17-70 first series, used and in very good condition, at a very low price, 120 €. I used it in pairs with the breaker. In November I bought the 55-30 pml on offer on the large sales channel. Really a good purchase. At the end of July I bought the 16-85, hoping that it could form an excellent pair with the aforementioned one. No. Typically, in the center and on 3/4, it is better than Sigma, but not so much. But on the left edge, especially at the top, it has an unsatisfactory resolution, like the 18-55 first series. Misaligned lenses? Returned. sent on August 21, 2022 |
![]() | Fujifilm XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS Pros: lightness and cost, definition at the lower focal points Cons: more than 200 mm, quality that worsens beyond 150 mm Opinion: Now I abandon Fuji and mirrorless them because I don't want to spend as much to buy the 55-200 (and maybe the 18-55). I have taken more blurry photos/moves in 6 years with this lens towards 200 mm and as well as with all the other targetss I have used in 50 years of REFLEX! Both on the stand and with a free hand! Maybe it's my specimen that was born badly, but I can't stand it anymore. If I happen to find a series II at a good price I will buy it to see what differences there are. Having said all the possible evil on the longer focals, I recognize that up to about 150 mm gives good color and definition results, but with a tendency to overexpose. I who love saturated colors, I bring the exposure correction to -2/3 or even to -1, while as a rule I keep it at -1/3 sent on December 05, 2020 |
