![]() | Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS Pros: Sharpness, AF, construction Cons: Nothing significant Opinion: Fantastic optics, I use it on A7III. As for the sharpness, this is very high at all focal points and already from the whole opening, the multiplier 1.4x holds very well. Lightning and even with the duplicator very good, in low lighting situations not from problems. Stabilizer (which if I am not mistaken should work in combination with that of the camera) very effective. Both stabilizer and autofocus practically imperceptible while working. The construction is also excellent, in metal and tropicalized. If we really want to be picky you could pay more attention to some small finishes, the silver 100-400 is easily ruined and the keys /selectors are plastic, but I consider them banality. The only thing I find uneas comfortable is the ring to harden the zoom, in my opinion it would have been much more useful if it had blocked the zoom altogether (like the 100-400 Canon if I am not mistaken), as others say before me, you often find yourself with the shoulder lens stretching itself for weight, but again it is about wanting to be picky and these are secondary things. Overall a fantastic lens that I highly recommend, especially for its great versatility, excellent both for the landscape but also to get closer to the world of wildlife photography (perhaps paired with 1.4x). Given the minimum focus distance of 1m it can also be used for a few macro shots. sent on January 04, 2021 |
![]() | Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM Pros: Image quality, and the blurring of the colors, stabilizer, auto-focus speed Cons: Has some small flaw that I will write later in the opinion, but they are trifles Opinion: I took it just came out on the market and once there I've been very happy. Now are some years that I use and I have not changed my mind, indeed; in short, it is truly a great goal. The sharpness is a lot of focus and the colors are magnificent and even using it in fields outside the macro. The stabilization is really convenient and often useful, even on the stand; helps a lot during the shot. The autofocus I think it extraordinary, fast! Although the macro never use it, but I used often quest'obbiettivo for other types of photos and is really lightning using it for example with a 7D. Going against the unfortunately there is lack of the tripod bracket, given the cost of the lens then! It 'an accessory that is used a lot and the original Canon costs a lot but for far less money you can not buy the original. The construction is not bad; is solid and has a weight quite important for the obbiettivino that is, the plastic or polycarbonate that is of excellent quality but is notpleasant as the metal of various 70-200, 100-400 etc. If it was metal, however, I would lose the weight. Finally you can not duplicate with multipliers and being a Canon 100mm sometimes it might be comfortable with 2x duplicate it, but there are many ways to solve this problem: you can use an old duplicator sigma or a kenko, alternatively you can put between lens and doubler (Canon) an extension tube (I always use the one from 12mm kenko) and with that the duplicator mounts perfectly. Despite some small flaw remains a great lens, very recommended! sent on January 06, 2015 |
![]() | Canon 5D Mark II Pros: Machine body solid, bright viewfinder, quality files, kept at high ISO Cons: Viewfinder is not 100%, slow operating Opinion: Shortly what to say, it really is a great car! Even today in 2015 remains a reflex that can compete with the latest and most advanced bodies Nikon and Canon. As mentioned in the body and very solid pro, a brick, I also used in environmental conditions a little 'bad (low temperatures, heavy snowfall) but never had any problems, really well built. The quality of the file is not much to say, the resolution is really high. Despite 21mpx also held at high ISO is really great, it is easily usable at 800-1600 ISO, going up to 3200 is still fully usable and in low light conditions (eg inside a church) will surprise even to 6400 . As for the viewfinder, is the viewfinder of a full frame !! You know they are big and bright, the only flaw is the fact that it is not 100%. The only problem with this machine remains operational even if the slowness with a little 'patience you can get good results even in fields Where' & egrave; required operating speed, the burst, however, remains slow and the same goes for auto-focus, even with high-quality optics and bright. The central point of focus is very accurate, especially with the active expansion, as regards the other points can not be said the same; in the absence of contrast or light become almost unusable. It 'a reflex in the landscape or portraits will give you great satisfaction and knowing you can get even better results in great action photography. sent on January 06, 2015 |
