nikon_35_f2dNikon AF 35mm f/2 D

Pros: very compact, bright, af fast, crystal clear to f8.

Cons: suffers from the flare, better to use the lens hood

Opinion: Lens Compact, light and a high value for money. I use it on fx and is fixed which is good in every situation because it has a focal length of the boundary between the normal and wide-angle, step back a step forward .. small not to the eye, light for low-light scenes, from the best between f8 and f11 where it is crystal clear. Colour rendering typical of afd, so vivid, a little creamy but very pleasant in my opinion. A consoglio, use it with the lens hood protects the front lens and avoids the possible flare that sometimes you notice.

nikon_85_f1-8dNikon AF 85mm f/1.8 D

Pros: compact, lightweight, hood metal screw, solid construction, af fast, a blur spectacular, crystal clear already from f2.8. quality / price ratio very high, especially in used.

Cons: less defined at f1.8.

Opinion: Lens compact, the queen of portraits, has a fuzzy creamy, soft, I would say that only 1 .4 does best. certainly, the depth of field is minimum at RT, to handle .. I use it on fx and perhaps in some cases a short hair (there are also 105, 135 and 180 of the same family), but you can but the portrait is in the foreground full length, taking a step forward and one step back . I would say almost dedicated to portraits, it is very soft and has a fuzzy lovable .. quality / price ratio especially in used really interesting. to have!

nikon_24-85dNikon AF 24-85mm f/2.8-4 D IF

Pros: Light, compact, versatile focal range of fx, macro function. complete! excellent on right.

Cons: mediocre on fx for vignetting, distortion at 24 and mixed edges. construction is not pro. cost of the new in my opinion not in line with the services provided, to take used.

Opinion: Objective born for film and borrowed the digital power factor correction typical of optical afd, I call creamy color, style afs 28-70 or 80-200 afd to speak. Has a range in my opinion very versatile FX, a little tight on the wide side in DX, makes it better on the latter course, while on fx shows all its limitations, such as distortion and vignetting evident in 24mm and poorly defined edges. Improves closing at f8/f11 and does not shine for a fuzzy all 'coverage despite being bright (f2.8-4, 2.8 to 24mm only). Autofocus velcoe although afd, construction pro but not compact and not too heavy, in my opinion used to be taken as a "tourist" even on fx (it also has the function macro 35mm and above). Of course, if you can get the 24-70 .. ;)
