![]() | Voigtlander Super-Heliar 15mm f4.5 ASPH Pros: Look, construction, extreme compactness. Cons: Marked color cast and lack of sharpness at the edges at any aperture (on sony A7R by Novoflex adapter) Opinion: A small optical beautifully built, solid as a rock and very compact. At the center sharpness is very good but the quality fell dramatically at the edges where there is a significant vignetting and a marked color cast (extremely marked on Sony A7R, more acceptable on Leica M bodies) tending to magenta at the edges and the yellow / brown on upper edge of the frame. A shame really because this light is very pleasant to use and offers a great tactile feel once assembled. sent on June 09, 2014 |
![]() | Sony FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Sonnar T* Pros: Sharpness, overall yield, blurred, building, silent AF, lightness. Cons: Not extremely compact size, high price for the category. Opinion: I use this lens on the Sony TA A7R ... the sharpness is impressive; Optically is truly exceptional. The 'AF is fast, accurate and very quiet and the building is quite impeccable. It is not as compact as other 50mm but the performance is really incredible. 50mm definitely the best I've ever had. sent on June 09, 2014 |
![]() | Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 Pros: Sharpness at RT, construction, size and weight, cost, three-dimensional color, contrast. Cons: Even considering the optics in an absolute sense and with the criteria applicable to modern optics (ignoring the cost is often less than 100 Euros) it is difficult to find cons. Opinion: Phenomenal. I expected good performance with a view to assessing relative to its age. Well, the performance is very good in an absolute sense already at f/1.4. The yield is highly three-dimensional and recalls some of the achievements made in Germany and fuzzy, although it is a bit 'nervous, it is very pleasant. Built to last at least as much as the time decay of its radioactive element (some geological era ;)), it is a pleasure to use; smooth and well lubricated metal rings make it extremely satisfying to use this light. The aura of legend that surrounds this light it is well deserved. sent on April 13, 2014 |
![]() | Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH Pros: Sharpness at room temperature, transition plans, blurred, building, size and compactness. Cons: Makes it seem all the remaining 35mm damn unrefined and rough. Opinion: Benchmark between 35mm. Nothing more to say. Wonderful already at RT, extremely sharp and contrasted with a blurred that no other 35mm is able to return. Unfortunately addictive; after a while 'shots with 35mm king of everything else proves "weak" and inaccurate. It would indeed be the case, try to avoid if their finances (as in my case) they represent insurmountable barrier to the purchase of this view extraordinary. sent on April 10, 2014 |
![]() | Sony A7r Pros: Dimensions, construction, sensor, color user interface. Cons: Battery life, auto focus (?). Opinion: Amazing camera. The detail returned by the sensor is nothing less than impressive and I come from an already excellent Canon 5DII. I did not think possible to get a more detailed file and nice to work with Canon, but instead what it is. It is also very compact! It is neither larger nor heavier than a Nikon FM. Needless to say I was expecting for some time and did not disappoint aspettative.rnGli only drawbacks that I have found are a battery life much lower than expected and the noise of shooting ... and a dry mechanical "clack" that partially cancels you can take the advantage of passing inosservati.rnPurtroppo use only manual lenses so I do not pronounce on the focus speed. sent on March 07, 2014 |
![]() | Voigtlander VM Nokton 40mm f/1.4 SC Pros: Dimensions, construction, quality / price ratio unsurpassed, "spangle" magnificent lights at small apertures. Cons: Low contrast images with large openings, especially blurry. Opinion: A great lens to keep attached to the car. Beautiful progressivity of blurry though particularly in its yield. Very good sharpness from f/2.8. At large apertures gives a pleasant look to "film" the photos. As already mentioned, the construction is impeccable and the maf manual very fast thanks to a ring very Leica style. sent on March 07, 2014 |
![]() | Voigtlander VM Nokton 35mm f/1.2 II Pros: Construction, sharpness, brightness, contrast. Cons: a little soft at maximum aperture, not exactly compact Opinion: Using this perspective on Sony A7R. What can I say, I was really impressed. Mechanically flawless, has a ring of MAF really fluid so that focuse is really a pleasure. The selection of the diaphragms is equally gorgeous with that beautiful feeling of well-lubricated metal sound and easy one step and another. F/1.2 RNA gives its best when used on close subjects (between the minimum distance of 2m and maf ) while on the golf course long lost sharpness and contrast while still providing performance accettabili.rnDa f/1.4 the lens is very sharp as f / 2 up is really exceptional. Blurred very pleasant to be a 35mm. sent on March 07, 2014 |
