Ingegnere elettronico, con oltre 40 anni di esperienza lavorativa nell'industria spaziale. Ex dirigente di azienda ora in pensione, svolgo ancora attività di consulenza in ambito informatico, soprattutto nello sviluppo di siti web.
Ho sempre avuto una grande passione per la fotografia, iniziata quando avevo 15 anni con una macchina fotografica Ferrania Rondine, poi continuata negli anni, prima con le diapositive a colori e ora con il digitale.
La mia prima reflex è stata una Exakta Varex IIb, che ho tuttora, poi ho avuto un paio di Praktika tedesco-orientali, che non rimpiango, e poi sono passato a Canon, che è tuttora il mio marchio preferito. Ho avuto varie reflex Canon a pellicola, alcune come la T90 e la EOS 3 le ho ancora (a venderle ormai non ricaverei nulla) e talvolta le faccio scattare un po'.
Adesso ho due reflex digitali Canon (EOS 60D ed EOS 700D) con diversi obiettivi, una mirrorless Panasonic GF3 ed alcune compatte tra cui una ottima Powershot S120. Scatto alcune migliaia di foto all'anno, anche talvolta foto di prodotto per l'azienda di cui sono consulente.
Gestisco le mie foto con ACDSee Pro 7.0 e le elaboro con Adobe Lightroom 5.5 e Photoshop CC 2014.
