panasonic_lx100Panasonic Lumix LX100

Pros: Speed

Cons: Instability in the buttons, fragile, without lens covers, noise even at 100iso, low quality photos, dust, flare.

Opinion: As far as the Lumix Lx100 costs, it has a bad value for money, I bought it because I hit its shooting speed, which I confirm to be its value (perhaps unique). For the rest or found many defects, the first are the inaccurate keys and the dial, sometimes the machine goes crazy and starts to change the values by itself, but once "calmed" you can take photos but the result are always photos with watercolor effect , noise even at low ISO, I thought it was a problem of my camera but Panasonic's non-existent service does not provide assistance (if not for a fee) and in the warranty periods has only delayed the responses, until you bring the camera out of warranty. Another defect and that the lens does not have a lens cover other than a cap to put and remove, the only thing to do is to buy aside a "JJC alc Lx100" worth 15 euros, which being a poor Chinese product breaks quite easily , so if you pay for the shipment you advise to buy them at least 2, amazing then how the dust manages to get inside the target, also the lights almost always guarantee (in all photos) an annoying flare. I recommend the camera for anyone who wants a nice and expensive paper clip.

sigma_50_f1-4artSigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art

Pros: Focus and sharpness never before seen

Cons: None ..

Opinion: A lens well done, I was amazed at the focus very fast and accurate even in low light, shooting with open aperture so is never easy but the Sigma 50mm 1.4 art makes this operation easier, the Bokeh effect is not the best ever seen but still very charming. I never had any other Sigma lenses and so I have no comparison if you've really made a quantum leap, but certainly Sigma is doing great things, I chose the purchase of ART compared to the old, not only for quality but also greater for the introduction of quality control, this ensures greater reliability in this brand that its relationship with the quality and price will give a hard time to major manufacturers .. ironically I would say that the only flaw is that it has the red ring of L-series Canon, for many that ring just aesthetically transmits an I do not know, but I am of the opinion that it is just a habit of comparing the quality of the ring.
