tamron_35-150_f2iiiTamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD

Pros: Focal range and brightness

Cons: Slow focusing, especially in low light conditions. External zoom that risks collecting dirt and dust

Opinion: I bought this lens a few days ago and put it through its paces during the Halloween event. I must say that its versatility is really wide and as far as uses during an event are concerned, I think it is one of the best optics on the market. I never preferred the 24-70 because I used it only with focal lengths higher than 35mm since if I needed a wide angle I always looked for something more extreme than the 24 and the fact that you can get to 150mm going unnoticed to steal even some portraits I find a fantastic thing. The Z-mount works quite well with the Nikon Z9 but unfortunately the focusing speed and its accuracy leave something to be desired. During the evening of testing in the disco, with the lights that still have to be guessed and change quickly, even if they shoot in bursts, it was not easy to find the fire in many situations. On video, the situation gets even worse. However, I think it's a very good compromise and worth testing it for even longer in optimal situations, where I'm sure it will perform much better. Overall good optics.

Pros: Lightweight, easy handling, integrated TC

Cons: At the moment none

Opinion: It came to me today to my great joy! Mounted immediately on z9 and tested both in the afternoon and in the evening. The autofocus does not miss a shot even in the dark, it is manageable, light and excellently built. With a finger you insert the duplicator which makes it perfect for naturalistic. Impressive sharpness. Pretty much the ultimate optics I've been waiting for. I will have the opportunity to try it as a shed in these days and maybe I will update the review with more in-depth details
