Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Pros: Size, weight, sharpness, AF Cons: Minimum focusing distance Opinion: Excellent glass for definition, even at CT and image edges. Its size and weight make it a useful lens for handheld travel photography. Very fast focusing, even in less than optimal light conditions. Finally a well-made lens hood. Tested with a 1.4x multiplier, it maintains its original qualities without hesitation. Excellent blur in good light conditions and on homogeneous backgrounds. Only discreet, the blurred, in difficult light conditions and on uneven backgrounds. Good weight balance. The minimum focusing distance I would have preferred to be a little less "long". 4 meters are sometimes limiting (about 6 meters in the case of using the multiplier). This means that on small subjects (a Regolo for example) you will not be able to "fill" the frame as you would like, therefore having to resort to crops in post production. I would suggest it combined with a camera like the Z8 or Z9. sent on 08 Febbraio 2026 |
