![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR Pros: Lightweight and sturdy, sharp, good focal range Cons: Autofocus not great, distortion at 18mm, poor sharpness and vignetting at 105mm Opinion: Caught in a kit with the D7000 and is still the privileged. Considering that it is a lens of "kits" I consider some of its minor flaws, such as brightness and vignetting often evident at high focal lengths. They are more annoying distortion at short focal lengths presenting and autofocus which is generally accurate and fast but with decreasing light is in crisis and often becomes slow (mainly the focal more). Rnih compensation is already considerably sharper than 1 or 2 Stop in and the less good (but not excessive) focal length make it very versatile as zoom and a real all-rounder to take on trips. Although the focus issuing is quite pleasant. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a zoom lens for DX, and considering that if they find a lot of nearly new used on the network, for entry-level is perhaps one of the goals with the price / convenience best. sent on March 14, 2014 |
