![]() | Sigma 85mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM Pros: sharpness, low cost compared to the competition Cons: f not lightning Opinion: The first thing to say is that this view is really sharp! Although in portraits sharpness is not always the most important factor the lens is appreciated for the recording of details that leaves already at full aperture. It is sold with case and lens hood "normal" more extension of the hood to APS-C, although the hood "extended" is really bulky, so I use it often. The autofocus is fast but not very fast, especially in low light conditions, but it is accurate (it is easier to an error due to a lack pdc with this lens). The objective weighing, and would have preferred that the outside was less "glossy", because you can see if there are any streaks, but it's definitely solid as construction. It is truly a pleasure to use, and taking into account that it costs much less than the equivalent canon / nikon offers a valid alternative. Very, very recommended! sent on November 05, 2011 |
![]() | Nikon AF-S DX 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR Pros: VR, useful range of focal lengths, sharpness Cons: brightness, vignetting at 16mm prounciata Opinion: The only flaw of this view as already pointed out by others is the brightness is not high. That said in a handyman to zoom aperture much prefer stabilization (the vr works well here). The price is a bit 'salty (like all Nikon lenses ..) but the sharpness is great at all focal luckily already at full aperture. As in the 15-85mm canon is known to the angle setting a pronounced vignetting, improves by stopping (pp is easily remedied though). Strongly recommended. sent on November 05, 2011 |
![]() | Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Pros: Low cost, high quality, recessed front lens, sold with leather bag; Cons: Autofocus slow and noisy, even with the limiter, it covers varying the ratio Opinion: I have long had the canon 100mm macro 2.8 (not L) and absolutely do not consider the tamron lower. Optically speaking is crystal clear and gives a good focus, you see around it many macro-level professional made with this view. For me it is valid not only for beginners, but also for those who already have experience in macro. Despite the less than 10mm and the extension can not find difficulty in approaching the subject, in the sense that those who escape me hours even before fleeing with 100 fixed :-) The autofocus is painfully slow and noisy in large excursions: it is not a lens for sports photographs say (on the other hand is a macro ..!). Would highly recommend. sent on September 29, 2011 |
