![]() | Zeiss Sonnar 135mm f/2.8 (C/Y) Pros: Very sharp already wide open, vignetting almost absent, solid construction, built-in hood view and removable when you need it, good resistance to flare and bokeh excellent color rendering and excellent contrast and above all, for the shots that gives, is priced really ridiculous! Cons: This very aberration at full aperture in conditions of extreme light and contrast, focus at least a meter and a half Opinion: Being a happy owner of a 50 F1.7 Zeiss Planar, was looking for a medium-telephoto bright for my Canon 60d and the choice fell on another vintage Zeiss optics! It 'was a very thought-out and designed, and considering that I have a weakness for "shots studied", I have to say I was again greatly and pleasantly surprised by the quality of this Zeiss 135. You have to work a bit to focus properly subjects being a manual lens and with a reduced PDC mounted on a APSC, but with a little practice and perhaps with the aid of a viewfinder, you do not miss a beat! If you do not fear maf manual, it is a must to have optics that will give you a lot of satisfaction and, in my opinion, is second only all'insuperabile canon 135 f2. sent on June 09, 2014 |
![]() | Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Pros: Extreme sharpness in the center and on the edges already at full aperture, vignetting and distortion near zero, granite building (looks like a combination of the construction of the zeiss and tokina), chromaticity excellent, very creamy bokeh (thanks to 9 blades), maf rather close that allows you to make some macro and especially precise even at night with light almost absent, nuts fluid and precise. Cons: weighs as much as a 70-200 f4 Opinion: I sold the canon 15-85 and canon 40mm f2.8 pancake to finance the purchase of an optical decidedly more light and the choice fell on this sigma 18-35 f1.8. At first I was a little hesitant, whereas Sigma was famous among the users who complained about various problems of front / back focus, and having a canon 60D which does not have the micro, but I was hesitant to inform me, I read that the new Sigma has as an accessory (not supplied) to the dock which allows you to adjust the focus using software. Reading on various forums and on various specialized websites that extolled the extreme and unexpected quality of the art 35 f1.4 and the 18-35 f1.8, I am convinced !!! I ordered and just arrived, I was amazed by building exceptional optics, uniform sharpness from the center to the most extreme part of the frame at all focal lengths. Maf very accurate and great bokeh. Finally I can meet with an optical versatile, strong and radiant, the most major limitation of the APSC sensors: noise at high iso. The only thing I regret that I sold the optics, flagging &ve; the weight and size of the canon 40 f2.8 STM :) sent on February 21, 2014 |
