Why all this? In my opinion it is a versatile lens if you get used to the fact that on APS-C it is practically an 80mm. You have to think differently and find different compositions than usual. Instead, for sports photography it seems like a favorite: if you go to the racetrack and shoot from the grandstand, with an 80mm you look great! A few tips: never shoot at TA, even if that f/1.8 attracts you, to have a nice bokeh f/2.8 is already fine. For sharpness, on the other hand, already at f/5.6 it is excellent. The autofocus sometimes plays tricks on me (but it will definitely be my camera's fault) and is relatively noisy, in videos you will certainly hear it a little, but if you use a nice external microphone in my opinion it is not a problem. However, if I let you try my first gen 35-80. surely you would say that the fifty in comparison is very quiet! Shooting on a 2000D (I'm sorry, it's not my fault...) I can practically not make videos, so I can't give you tips on this aspect, for me on this camera body not being able to connect an external microphone is limiting without considering that there is no continuous focus... Coming back to us, and I conclude, it is a lens definitely to have in your photographic kit and, for its price, it is fantastic.
