![]() | Nikon Z50 II Pros: Responsive autofocus, compactness, ISO tightness, image quality and 'lightness' Cons: For now nothing Opinion: Good evening everyone, I state that this is my first post ever on Juza, so I apologize if I skipped some steps. I wanted to write first here, after reading the reviews, and after using the Z50II at a 3-day metal festival. In the reviews, the thing I mainly noticed is that many have written that the cons are battery life. Having never used it before, except for a test photo outside the house, before leaving for the festival I ran for cover and bought a powerbank to take with me. Result? Never used. The first day I produced 650 shots - I only lost a notch of battery. On the second and third days I took more than a thousand photos per evening... Same result: only one notch down. I state that I use the screen only if I have to change the shooting plane, so for the most part I use the viewfinder (and I feel good about it I would say), and... nothing, battery for me excellent! I haven't used the Z50II for video, but I have a GoPro for that. On the autofocus, on the other hand, we all agree: almost excellent, and as you know, at concerts the light really sucks. The rather light and excellent files to work with are a plus, although I admit that a few more megapixels would not hurt but... I have a workstation that is a few years old now, and I'm fine with that. In combination with the Z50II I used the Viltrox 75 f1.2, really good, and I had the nikkor 24mm f1.7 for wider or closer shots. What can I say, I am really satisfied with this camera, an excellent mirrorless under 1000 euros. Little expense, excellent yield. sent on May 16, 2025 |
