Sony A6400 Pros: AF in good/good light, burst, overall file quality. Cons: ISO seal, autonomy, viewfinder Opinion: Car paid €700 new at the beginning of 2025 in a physical store (it's not the deal of a lifetime but considering that the used cost €600-650, I would say more than good price). Considerations of an amateur nature photographer: Lightweight camera body, not very comfortable grip but it depends on the use, with a telephoto lens it is certainly not very comfortable, but it fits. ISO tightness in alternating phases, noisy photos already at iso1600 but manageable in post production without losing too much detail. Progressive loss of detail beyond this value, but it is obvious. Image quality in general good, raw file well manageable. AF in "perfect" conditions of light I would say good/excellent for birdlife, less so on "gray" days where it often tends to lose focus (opinion with a sigma 150-600mm S). Autonomy unfortunately so-so ... With continuous focus, subject tracking, the autonomy is about 2-3h scarce. For landscape or street photos the situation changes decisively. Better to have 2-3 spare batteries if you want to do nature photography sessions for several hours. Mediocre viewfinder, small and medium quality. I would say good gust. In general, it is a camera that I absolutely recommend to approach photography and especially nature. It does not disappoint if you are conscious of what you buy. Rating 8.5 sent on 05 Maggio 2026 |
