![]() | Samyang 7.5mm f/3.5 UMC Fisheye MFT Pros: excellent sharpness and color rendering, pleasant fisheye effect, light and thick (especially in used ones) really very cheap. Cons: if it were at least f2.8 it would be perfect, but significantly it would be much bigger and more expensive; filters cannot be used; Maybe a little plasticky Opinion: I've always had GoPro that I used mainly to take photos and I've always liked the fisheye effect, so driven by the reviews and the fact that it was native for mft and not adapted by aps-c like the various ttartisan&co, I looked for one that I eventually found on a used site for a ridiculous amount (about 60€, until it actually arrived at home I thought it was a price error honestly). I took it on vacation this summer, I used it for some photos of the cat and to make some big faces in the foreground of my lady (not appreciated by both, I don't recommend it). A very fun lens if you like the genre, the distortion is not exaggerated and gives an effect that I find very pleasant. The definition is very good especially closing a couple of stops and the colors are generally quite vivid and bright, also very pleasant. Manual focus is practically never a problem because from the meter of distance onwards you just have to put it to infinity. The angle of view is 180°, which makes it impossible to use filters, for me perhaps the only relevant "defect". Being so small, moreover, it often becomes very easy to take pictures of your fingers and feet, but you just have to get used to it For what I paid for it I am extremely satisfied and I would absolutely recommend it, but even if I had paid something more, the opinion would not change. sent on November 20, 2024 |
