![]() | Nikon AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G ED VR Pros: Perfect for wildlife photography, fast and accurate autofocus Cons: Not very bright and at maximum aperture it's not very sharp Opinion: It's a great lens for wildlife photography and/or photographing distant subjects. The stabilization works well and gives an important hand especially at the maximum focal length; The autofocus ditto, is precise and very fast. Most of the time I used it at 300mm and I can confirm, as other users point out, that shooting at f5.6 the photo is not particularly sharp. Fortunately it is solved by closing to f8 (losing a bit of brightness) and in post production increase the sharpness by 20%. I bought it used for 300€ and it's probably the best AF-S compatible zoom lens used in this price range sent on April 15, 2024 |
