Reviews of cameras, lenses, tripods, heads and other accessories written by Visaip

samsung_ex2fSamsung EX2F

Pros: Very bright lens. At the slightest light in the dark, you can make a photo frame as if it were daytime. Excellent Amoled screen, so it does not need a viewfinder. The screen is simply a fairy tale. Very nice and good. And you can turn it any way you like. You will look like a cinematographer. As a camera of this level, it does video in Full HD format very well. There are two microphone options. And I must say that they work very well. You can stand near the speakers at a concert and film, and the sound will be very high quality. This camera produces naturally beautiful colors, and has a large selection of various image enhancements, adjustments, and there are so many of them that it's almost too much. But I strictly advise you to shoot only in manual M mode. This is probably all that is positive.

Cons: Don't even try shooting in Auto and SMART modes, the photos will be terrible. Samsung prepared this device for these modes very badly. Forget they even exist. While there are plenty of adjustments to choose from in the settings, none of the adjustments gave me a level of sharpness that I was completely happy with. And now the worst thing. Samsung has completely discontinued camera support, and photo transfer via Wi-Fi and Samsung mail are no longer available. This is completely unjustifiable. They just stopped making cameras, and shut down all support, and left all customers on ice. The camera is very difficult to control and getting a good shot requires a lot of fiddling with the menu settings before the subject will probably run away. I got completely used to the camera in just 5 years. The camera has some strengths, but also some weaknesses.

Opinion: This is a camera for a specific occasion. Although the case is of good quality (made of magnesium), it is not waterproof. The real quality of the photos is visible only on the computer screen. Because the Samsung Amoled display shows them all beautifully. But it is not. Samsung's colors are truly exceptional and have their own recognizable gamut, but to achieve the desired result requires hard work. Where does it fit best? Suitable for indoors, but if you don't need a lot of sharpness. Although with flash, sharpness is good. And if you're filming a concert, you're in wind noise, this (by changing the microphone setting) is very suitable. He's filming very well. Just do not pass sharply from dark to light lighting. However, the lens is not a single stable aperture. But when filming indoors, or outdoors, the selected exposition is really good and the sound is so good and after changing the microphone settings, you can shoot concerts. Of course, I look at it from the perspective of time. It's been 10 years. Then, when it was released, everything looked much better. But the sensor still, could have been larger. Although others and later used even smaller ones. It is definitely worth what it costs. Camera video test = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCTrPkSl66k

Pros: A small, now cheap, very good color on a sunny day, a very good zoom lens. Manual P/A/S/M control. Tip: Use a CR-V3 battery because the AA batteries are very too weak. This camera has a Kodak "perfect touch" photo enhancement feature. Also beautifully puts together the panorama.

Cons: Completely unsuitable in the dark. Unless you use this camera's flash. Never use the video, because the quality is tragic. But that was enough in those days.

Opinion: This Kodak camera was very good when it was released. Legendary Kodak colors, manual control and super SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH f/2.8-4.4 lens. In good light it is so good that I have now found two more new Kodak C875 cameras in America. This is for every day. It is so light and small that you can carry it all the time on a sunny day. You will also reach distant objects, because the zoom is from-to 37-185mm equiv. I also have to mention that at that time many more expensive models had 1/2.3 size sensors, while the Kodak C875 has a 1/1.8 (in other markets 1/1.7) size sensor. And knowing that you can get it now on ebay for ~$70, that's a fairy tale. Although its photos are better than other modern cameras costing up to a thousand euros.
