![]() | GoPro Hero3+ Silver Pros: Build and image quality, versatility Cons: Microphone quality, lack of stabilization Opinion: This GoPro has been out for 11 years now, technology has made great strides and as normal, there is no comparison with the latest releases. However, if one is content to film videos in 1080p, then it could be an interesting object. Surely, despite their age, the videos are still of good quality. The only real flaw in my opinion is the quality of the microphone, which leaves something to be desired especially if it is used on the move, for example on a motorcycle. But the thing that surprised me the most was the photo department. Despite having only 10 megapixels, the images are detailed, and with a minimum of work in post production, the results are satisfactory. In general, I still find it valid for resuming one's adventures and for holidays. sent on October 17, 2024 |
![]() | Nikon Coolpix S32 Pros: Photo quality Cons: Digital noise, the keys tend to harden over time Opinion: It was my first underwater digital camera. I also find it very suitable for a child, to take photos during beach holidays. The quality of the photos, in relation to the purchase price, is not bad at all. Also, with a little post production, you can get some good results. Even as far as the video department is concerned, it is decent. I also find it valid as a first camera to start becoming familiar with underwater photos. Of course, it only works automatically. sent on October 17, 2024 |
![]() | FujiFilm FinePix S4000 Pros: Powerful zoom, versatility, build quality Cons: AA battery powered, digital noise, shoots in JPEG only Opinion: I bought this bridge on the second-hand market for non-demanding outings and in hostile environments, so as not to risk reflex and optics. The S4000, despite having been out for 13 years now, still manages to return good photos. Solid and well-built camera body. But the main convenience lies in always having a 24-720 mm with you that allows you to take a huge variety of photographs. However, watch out for digital noise, already at 400 ISO images begin to be quite grainy, so to get the best results it should be used at low ISO on sunny days, or in general in bright environments. Both the electronic viewfinder and the live view are comfortable. The macro and super macro mode are useful. A sore point, the AA battery power supply. In some situations it can also be a virtue, but personally I would have preferred battery power. I "remedied" by buying high-wattage rechargeable batteries, which make the autonomy of the camera more than decent. Another flaw, it only shoots in JPEG. In conclusion, it is a valid solution for taking good photos without risking the best equipment in dangerous environments, if you want to go out "light" without carrying the lenses, for holidays and trips. sent on October 04, 2024 |
![]() | Nikon Coolpix AW130 Pros: Photo and video quality, waterproof 30 meters, size, robustness Cons: In low light conditions the photos are not great Opinion: I state that I still use this camera to take underwater photos during the summer. Bought new in 2016, it is a good compact camera for taking underwater photos. With excellent light conditions and a minimum of post production, the result is more than good. Obviously nothing to do with a reflex ... on the contrary, with low light the result is not the best. It can be carried up to 30 meters deep. The weight is not excessive, it is very robust and the size allows you to use it in areas that are not very accessible, for example under a rock. The flash does its duty. Even in macro mode the results are more than good. Unfortunately it cannot be used manually, but there are several preset and non-modifiable settings called "scenes". sent on May 08, 2023 |
