![]() | Canon 80D Pros: Color Science, excellent iso hold, fast autofocus, image detail Cons: None if you know what you're buying Opinion: Excellent color for portraits, excellent iso hold up to 1600, good up to 6400, as long as you obviously use resolute lenses, such as the 70-200 2.8, obviously if you use bottle bottoms like the 18-55, any camera body would have a very bad performance. Fast and accurate autofocus, both in LV and in the eyepiece, 45 points of MAF are more than enough to cover most of the scene, also considering the 4 autofocus modes that this camera presents. The 24mpx is the right compromise between detail and ISO sensitivity, on an apsc sensor. Undoubtedly, it is a machine for those who do fairly static work, due to its high weight, especially in combination with resolute canvases, but it is really worth considering it in 2023 as a leap in quality from an entry level. Unlike its big sister 90d, for which I have some doubts in terms of ISO sealing, considering the higher pixel density, 32mpx, compared to the 24 of the 80d, which although it can certainly have a newer processor, therefore processing noise better, will inevitably be greater in low light conditions. That said, if you can find it for £600 used, with just a few shots, it's a great deal sent on October 26, 2023 |
