canon_rf28-70_f2usmCanon RF 28-70mm f/2 L USM

Pros: Excellent image quality, comparable to fixed lenses

Cons: Weight and dimensions but absolutely justified by the quality of the lens

Opinion: The Canon 28-70 is my ultimate all-around lens, perfect for shooting outdoors in natural light. With this lens, I can easily switch between landscape and detail, resulting in image quality comparable to that of many prime lenses. The colors are true, the details are rich and the overall rendering is really balanced. Essentially, it's a lens that allows me to cover multiple focal lengths without compromising on quality.

canon_rf100macro_isCanon RF 100mm f/2.8 L Macro IS USM

Pros: Lightweight and easy to handle • Excellent sharpness and detail rendition even outside the macro range

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I recently replaced my old 24-105 with a lens that, while designed for macro photography, proved to be extraordinarily versatile for my product photography and still life studio needs. Among the main pros, there is certainly the lightness and maneuverability, which make it perfect for studio sessions with flash lights, where I need to move easily and adjust the equipment without clutter. What really struck me is the rendering of details: the optics offer sharp images, without geometric distortions and with a truly remarkable fidelity of details, perfect for product shooting. In practice, even if it is a lens designed for macro, I found it excellent for non-macro still lifes as well, adapting very well to a use other than its main purpose. Ultimately, for the use I make of it, it was a good choice and I did not find any noteworthy cons.

canon_eos_r1Canon EOS R1

Pros: • Outstanding autofocus even in low light • More than sufficient image quality despite 24 MP resolution • Class-leading ergonomics and solidity • Impressive burst and responsiveness

Cons: At the moment I have not found any

Opinion: I recently bought a Canon R1, coming from a Canon R5 Mark II, convinced that I had already found the best for my needs. I state that I am not a professional photographer, but an enthusiast who ranges between still life, landscape, portrait. The R1 surprised me positively. Although the choice of this camera is often linked to its incredible autofocus speed and lightning-fast burst, I found it exceptional even in low light conditions. The autofocus really works perfectly even when the lighting is not optimal, and despite the resolution of "only" 24 megapixels, the image quality is more than sufficient for my prints up to A2 format and for use in catalogs and on the web. In terms of handling, build quality, and ease of use, the R1 really represents a quantum leap from any other camera I've used so far. Combined with high-end Canon lenses, it offers results that make me absolutely satisfied and I really think it will stay with me for a very long time.
