![]() | Fujifilm XF 8mm f/3.5 R WR Pros: Compactness, photo quality, sharpness, possibility of screw filters especially the ND, robust construction, numerical aperture, Af (for what can count on such a lens) on my 2 Xt5 marries you having to churn out superlative Raw. Cons: At the moment I do not find faults, even the cost seems proportionate to what it can offer. Opinion: An extraordinary perspective, designed and created for reportage and landscape. The morning that was delivered to me I immediately went to try it in a location that was not easy both for light conditions and for geographical location. It behaved great, giving the best of itself, as it was certainly designed, with the new 40Mpx camera, in fact I use it on my 2 Xt5 and I'm really satisfied. At the moment I have taken about 150 photos but I would already say that, together with the 16 f.1,4, the 90 and 50 f.2 is a reference optics. On the use of filters obviously you can not mount a polarizer, this is obvious but the ND, which I use a lot, yes, just have the foresight to use those much larger, you type slim and with reducer ring also slim. For other filters, plate filters are mandatory. What can I say: the optics I was waiting for to be integrated into my full-bodied kit and to be added to the 10/24. Very very satisfied. In my gallery you can find 2 shots taken with this perspective, shots that I will bring on display together with. other others in September in Lucca at the international flower and gardening fair Murabilia 2023 - 1-2-3 September - Underground of the Urban Walls - "Regeneration" sent on July 24, 2023 |
![]() | Fujifilm X-T5 Pros: The usual big Fuji machine where the dials are where you would like to find them. I was surprised by the quality at high iso that is almost superimposable to the sister X-T4. Larger compensation ring than the other X-T (I use it a lot) smaller switch and unlikely to turn on inadvertently when you inflate it in the bag. 40 Mpx Cons: for now nothing... indeed the rear display has a very slight backlash when closed, a feature also common to the X-T3 and folding displays of this type. Opinion: I bought it on December 2nd taking advantage of an extraordinary price that was charged to me by a seller in Viterbo where I was for a reportage. I had gone to see her live and went out with the car around my neck. I must admit that I was a bit worried about the yield at high iso, say 3200/6400 where I often shoot for my reportage, worried in comparison with the X-T4 and X-T3. I had to change my mind: this X-T5 churns out RAF files practically overlapping as a disturbance to its sister X-T4, in this ISO range. To be picky the X-T4 is slightly but only slightly less "disturbed" not forgetting that the difference between the two machines are many Mpx. 26 against 40. At the moment I am very happy with the purchase and the advantage that brings me in large prints and crop that I often find myself practicing using little zoom and a lot of fixed lenses of the strictly original series f1,4 and f2. Let's face it, this is a camera for photographers even if it can make amazing videos. Everything is where it needs to be, even the handle is more comfortable and slightly deeper. The lack of battery grip for me is irrelevant, so I would never have bought it, instead I will buy as soon as I can find a nice "L" bracket dedicated to Arca Swiss present in all 4 of my Fujifilm camera bodies because I use the tripod a lot. I would add that the AF is amazing, although I am also very comfortable with that of the X-T4, but this has improved. For those who complain about the Joistick I must say that this is well harmonized with the machine, a large pan would have distorted the machine itself. What can I say, good fuji mom, now I wait for the X-Pro 4 with the same sensor and maybe the stabilizer. sent on December 04, 2022 |
