![]() | Pentax F SMC 100mm f/2.8 Macro Pros: Resolution sharpness contrast colors depth plasticity microcontrast versatility. Cons: Slow autofocus. Opinion: This is an absolute point of view. Equipped with incredible resolution, color contrast, depth and plasticity are strongly appreciated in every single shot you take with this lens. Needless to say anything else, except that, to call the history of photography, this is the father of many other 100 mm macro like those signed Zeiss that share the optical scheme, but not the absolute performance due to the lack of SMC treatment. This optics as plasticity is also superior to the current versions of the 100 mm macro produced by Pentax itself. There is only one other macro lens that equals it in performance and one that exceeds it, the first is the younger brother 50 mm macro always of the PENTAX-F series, the second is the very rare and is unobtainable 200 mm macro autofocus of Pentax. sent on June 29, 2023 |
![]() | Pentax FA* SMC 24mm f/2 Pros: Three-dimensionality, colors, contrast, sharpness Cons: Maximum performance is at F/5.6 Opinion: An exceptional lens with an impressive three-dimensionality excellent colors high contrast and absolute sharpness on the entire frame at F/5.6 , but already acceptable on the edges even at F/2. The most impressive thing is his ability to render the volumes painted by light with an amazing realism and depth. This gives it a plasticity of the image that goes beyond any consideration on its sharpness on its resolution on its contrast and other parameters to which we are usually accustomed to give absolute importance. In short, one of those cases where an optics in addition to its measurable technical characteristics, looking at the images it produces you can not fail to notice the famous "pixie dust" of which some optics are incomprehensibly equipped. sent on June 29, 2023 |
