![]() | Nikon AF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 D Pros: It has everything you need in a zoom with this focal range, with the addition of a decent macro. Cons: If you don't have a steady hand (it doesn't have VR) and you are looking for the nitty-gritty, you find something in it Opinion: Found as new for €160 (the price is constantly growing) and tested on D750. I was immediately struck by the veracity of the images. An old style that evokes the "material" feeling of old films, or if you prefer, warms up that annoying feeling of "too digital" of many current lenses. Pasty colors, excellent shading, contrasts that are always well balanced. More than satisfied also on the B/W. I agree with anyone who has expressed positive opinions on this all-rounder, which can hardly find comparisons except by selling out at the cash register. The defects then? Edge sharpness? Vignetting? More than acceptable for a zoom with a decent focal range. The cumbersome macro function? If you know how to make coffee with the mocha, you know how to handle that well too! In short, as others have said, the only real flaw is that they don't do it anymore. sent on June 04, 2025 |
