sony_zeiss24-70_f4Sony FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Vario Tessar T*

Pros: Construction, sharpness, colors and, depending on the aperture, even blurry.

Cons: I can't find any

Opinion: I was looking for a 24-70 to match the A7IV, I already had the Zeiss 24-70 f2.8 with A mount but with the adapter on the 7IV it is too unbalanced. I was on the fence about all the negative reviews I read, but I finally found it used and got it. I don't know if I was lucky, but reading the latest reviews, I would say no, the lens is fine, sharp at all focal lengths, already at full aperture, at 70 mm it is great for portraits with a good quality blur. The colors are the classic ZEISS-Sony (for the A mount, in addition to the 24-70 I had the 85 f1.4 and the 135 f1.8). If we then add the build quality, we go to really high levels. A 9 deserves it all.....

sony_a7cSony A7C

Pros: Compact for FF, good autofocus, good files, good usability despite the size.

Cons: I didn't find any.

Opinion: Having an A-mount kit that includes the A99II and a lot of lenses, a year ago I decided to get a mirrorless camera and opted for the A7IV, which I thought I would use with the adapter and the old A lenses. Since I had a good time, I looked for a second mirrorless body and after reading many reviews I was about to get a used 7III, then I saw a photographer who used the 7C at a WS and I fell in love with it. I've always had a compact camera to use for "light" rides (an RX100 III), now I've sold it and I use the 7C with light lenses, but I can use it, as a second body, when I go out with the 7IV. I find that the defects that many find are amply rewarded by the compactness, even the viewfinder, it is certainly not the best, but it can be used without major problems (and I wear glasses). Once you've customized the menu, that's no longer a problem either (but I've been with Sony since the A700). I find the files very good, even better than those of the 7IV sometimes, they seem more easily "workable" to me. What can I say, maybe new is not so convenient, but on second-hand, in my opinion, you can do some business.....
