fujifilm_xf56_f1-2wrFujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R WR

Pros: Image plasticity, sharpness, out-of-focus detachment, build quality.

Cons: Price, size.

Opinion: I took it and used it for a while on the X-T3, it was rendered wonderful at all distances, with sharpness, even at the edges, and really remarkable out-of-focus detachment. The plasticity of the focus zone and the detachment of the subject are also guaranteed by closing the aperture. I then switched to the X-T5 and, if possible, its merits stand out even more. First portrait lens, together with the old brother 35 1.4, which I prefer over the x-e4 for reasons of weight and size. More than enough autofocus for my purposes, especially on the X-T5. It is now one of the optics that, after seeing the results, I can no longer do without.

Pros: Dimensions, weight, robustness, optical yield

Cons: Horrendous hood

Opinion: I took it as a handyman, to keep mounted on the X-T3, but especially X-E4, when I go out only with a lens, and for some portrait set without spending an eye for the 1.4. The yield in the center and edges is good up to f / 5.6, where it gains a lot compared to the larger apertures. AF fast and precise, tropicalized, robust, I do not find defects apart from a sharpness not scary to the major apertures (not serious, and 'still better than the excellent 18-55) and the hood, really ugly (but put a nice kind like those squarehood and pay 30 euros more' no?). I also like the "mood" of the images, certainly more than the 16mm f2.8, although certainly far from the 35 f1.4.

fujifilm_xf16_f2-8Fujifilm XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR

Pros: Compact, lightweight, very solid, price

Cons: A few too many distortions at the edges compared to the big brother 1.4

Opinion: I have been using it for a while, especially combined with the X-E4, a perfect combination for compactness and quality. Focal very fun to use in street, to keep in your pocket coupled with a 35. Obvious defects none, the optics would be worth a total of 8, but thanks to the price it deserves in my opinion the 9. I also own the 1.4, which for image quality and overall rendering is on another level, but also bulk and cost are.
